This powerful idea echoed through the Vishwa Konkani Scholarship Orientation Session held today on Google Meet for the VKSSP Batches of 2023 & 2024. The session was filled with inspiration, energy, and community spirit.

✨ Eminent leaders Sri T.V. Mohandas Pai, Sri Pradeep Pai, and Sri Sandeep Shenoy shared their vision and motivated scholars to embrace growth and learning.
🌟 WKC alumni Srinidhi Bhat, Niranjan Kamath, Gopika Kini, and Karan Kini shared heartfelt experiences and warmly welcomed the new scholars into the ever-growing WKC family.
🎶 The event opened on a melodious note with the Konkani Abhimaan Geet sung by Vaishnavi Hegde.
🎤 With energy and enthusiasm, moderators Prithvi Shenoy and Shrihari Mallya kept the session vibrant and engaging.
👥 KSHAMATA trainers Smt. Vidya Shenoy and Smt. Shavina Soans empowered the scholars with their impactful talk.
🎯 A fun-filled WKC Scavenger Hunt added excitement and helped scholars connect.
📝 The VAA Council concluded the session with key instructions on the application process.

It’s a day that brings back so many memories and emotions, that genuinely restrict us from finding the right set of words with such weight as to justify your significance in so many hundreds of lives. To us, there is no other example of an individual who has touched, influenced and transformed as many lives, whilst remaining as selfless, as dedicated, as simple and as humble.

You have assumed so many roles, that of a sister, that of a guide, that of a mentor, and even to the extent of that of a mother for how much affection, care and concern you have impartially shown on the entire WKC fraternity. We can unequivocally say that most of us could not have been what we are today and where we are today if not for you.

Little did all of us scholars and alumni think when joining the World Konkani Centre, that in all our lives and our transformations, you would stand so tall in the Centre. Dear Guru maam,

Of the millions of memories that each of us has at WKC, the one that comes first to mind and the one that is going to remain etched for the longest time, is FRUIT SALAAAAAD!! The first time we heard this voice, little did we know that the man behind the voice would become one of the most significant in the life of every single scholar and alumni.

You have encouraged us, motivated us like no other, and stood by us at all the important stages of our lives, and it is this insurmountable motivation that has filled us with the energy to excel and conquer the world. Knowing that we have your support and guidance is worth the weight of mountains in everything that we do. We really would not risk saying thank you for what you have done for us, because it does not justify either what we want to say or what you have done for us. Yet, we want to express gratitude Guru maam, by saying that we are forever indebted to you, and while it cannot be repaid, we want to promise a gift from our side to you. The gift that we promise to Pay it Forward, at every single opportunity we are presented with.

Wish you a very happy birthday! Having started like a drop of water, the World Konkani Centre has become an Ocean - of Aspiration, of Excellence, of Inspiration, of Opportunities, of Unparalleled love and compassion. If we are to look back at the years that have passed, it would not have been possible for the drop of water to make this journey without your mammoth contributions, enormous efforts, and the way you have spearheaded the Vision TVM 2030.

You are an example of large-heartedness, dedication and commitment. Like it is said, "A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way", you have always been there to show us the way. Your courage, and your leadership are two of the biggest reasons for where VKSSF and WKC are today. We find it genuinely hard to find words that can justify the amount of our gratitude, but on behalf of all the scholars, alumni and the WKC fraternity, we salute you for what you have done for us and for the Konkani community. We are elated to announce that Datacamp, a leading online learning platform that provides training and mentorship in the cutting-edge areas of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of their donates program has extended its partnership with Vishwa Konkani Alumni Association for the third consecutive year.

With this partnership, Vishwa Konkani Alumni Association(VAA) will continue to leverage DataCamp’s online learning platform to enhance our Sushiksha Alumni Mentoring Programme. Sushiksha mentoring program is organized for scholars of Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarship Programme (VKSSP) by members of VAA. Thanks to for providing us with the platform.

Highlights of this partnership:
1. WKC-VAA is the second NGO from India to partner with DataCamp
2. Over 400 courses have been completed by our scholars amounting to 7.5 million XP in the 1st two years of this partnership.
3. 59 of our Scholars who were part of DataCamp Donates Program have secured job/internship and have benefitted from the partnership.
4. As a result, 75 new DataCamp subscriptions have been provided to Sushiksha mentees and mentors owing to the success of our partnership in the previous years.
