🌍 Happy World Food Safety Day! 🌍

Today, on June 7th, the World Human Rights Council (WHRC) stands together to remind the world that access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food is not just a privilege—it is a fundamental human right. 🛡️🍽️

Safe food is essential for sustaining life and promoting good health. Yet, the invisible risks of contaminated food are staggering:

🔹 600 million people fall ill annually from foodborne illnesses.
🔹 420,000 lives are lost every year, disproportionately affecting our most vulnerable communities and children.
Food safety is everyone's responsibility. It requires vigilance at every single stage—from production to harvest, processing, storage, distribution, preparation, and consumption. EVERY step matters! 🌾🚜👩‍🍳

Let's work together for a world where everyone has access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food. Because safe food today means healthy people tomorrow.
Safe Food. Stronger Communities. A Better World. 🕊️

🌍 Today, May 29th, we observe the International Day of UN Peacekeepers 2026. 🕊️
As we navigate a rapidly changing world, the pursuit of global peace remains our most vital mission. Today, we honor the incredible dedication, bravery, and sacrifice of all United Nations peacekeepers who work tirelessly on the frontlines to protect the vulnerable and rebuild communities.
This year's focus reminds us that adapting to new challenges is essential, but the core of peacekeeping remains the same: a shared commitment to humanity. Let us all reflect on how we can contribute to a more peaceful, unified world. Peace begins with all of us. 🤝✨
