Federal Bank extends CSR support to GMM Hospital
Rev. George Mathen Mission (GMM) Hospital, Mallappally, is deeply grateful to Federal Bank for extending valuable support through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The medical equipment provided under the CSR programme was formally inaugurated by Mr. Vinod B., Assistant General Manager, Federal Bank.
The function was presided over by Rev. Shaji M. Johnson, President of GMM Hospital. In his presidential address, he expressed heartfelt thanks to the Federal Bank leadership, especially Mr. Vinod B. and Mrs. Lysa C.C., Branch Manager, Federal Bank, Mallappally, for making this support a reality. He highlighted the hospital’s mission of providing compassionate and affordable healthcare to the rural community, particularly to the poor and middle-income families, irrespective of caste, creed, gender, or age. He also noted that around 60 dialysis procedures are conducted at the hospital every month, with most of the patients receiving dialysis free of cost.
Rev. Dr. Sam T. Mathew, Administrator of the hospital, welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests.
Prof. Mathew C. Mathew, Secretary of the hospital, presented the project report and appreciated Federal Bank for responding to the hospital’s CSR request with remarkable promptness. Through this support, GMM Hospital has received an ABG Machine, Syringe Pump, and Infusion Pump, which will significantly strengthen patient care services.
He also shared the vision of the upcoming Build GMM Hospital Project, which includes a modern Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Operation Theatre Complex, and Mother & Child Mission facilities, along with the expansion of Palliative Care and Homecare services. He requested Federal Bank to consider extending further support for this transformative project.
In his inaugural address, Mr. Vinod B. congratulated GMM Hospital for its dedicated service to the rural population and appreciated the hospital’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare at an affordable cost. He expressed hope that Federal Bank would continue to support the hospital’s future initiatives.
Mr. Joy Joseph, Project Coordinator of GMM Hospital, spoke about Federal Bank’s long-standing reputation for customer-friendly innovations and expressed his hope for a strong and enduring partnership between Federal Bank and GMM Hospital.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Babu Oommen P., Governing Body Member of GMM Hospital. Mr Amal Mohanan Federal Bank Staff, Doctors, Staff Members, and members of the Governing Board were present on the occasion, and the meeting concluded with a prayer led by the Administrator.

Compassion is most meaningful when it becomes action.

The CSI Youth Movement, Mallappally District, today presented the 7th installment of its contribution towards the Free Dialysis Programme of Rev. George Mathen Medical Mission (GMM) Hospital, Mallappally. The donation was handed over by Mr. Abin Biju Varghese, District Youth Movement Committee Member, to Rev. Dr. Sam T. Mathew, Hospital Administrator.

Receiving the contribution, Rev. Dr. Sam T. Mathew said that caring for the poor, the weak, and the sick is a continuation of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. He appreciated the Youth Movement for its steadfast commitment and expressed the hope that this beautiful initiative would inspire many other youth groups to serve society through acts of compassion.

Also present were Eva. Moses K. Chacko (Joint Convener), Mr. Tom K. Sajan (District Secretary), and Ms. Milka Anna Moses. Prof. Mathew C. Mathew, Secretary of GMM Hospital, expressed the hospital's heartfelt gratitude.

Dear Achan,

From 4th July to 15th July, our mother (Mrs. Mariamma Varghesse,77, Erumedayil House, Mallappally East po)was admitted to our hospital. From the moment of admission until her discharge, every member of the staff cared for her with exceptional compassion, dedication, and kindness. They looked after her like angels.
We sincerely thank all of you for your care, prayers, excellent treatment, and, above all, the love and respect shown to our mother and our family throughout this difficult time.
May God bless each one of you abundantly for your selfless service.

Diocesan Bishop Visits GMM Hospital

The Bishop of the CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian, visited Rev. George Mathen Medical Mission Hospital yesterday evening. The Bishop was warmly received by the Hospital President, Administrator, Governing Board members, Office Bearers, Doctors, and Staff Representatives.
A brief gathering was held in the hospital chapel to mark the occasion. The programme began with a prayer led by Hospital President Rev. Shaji M. Johnson, followed by a welcome address from Administrator Rev. Dr. Sam T. Mathew.
During the meeting, Secretary Prof. Mathew C. Mathew presented an overview of the hospital's current services and shared the vision for the Build GMM Hospital Project. He highlighted the urgent need to begin the project and requested the Bishop's continued prayers, guidance, and support in making this dream a reality. He requested the Bishop's guidance, blessings, and wholehearted support for the project, humbly requesting him to serve as a valued advocate in garnering support for this important initiative.
In his address, Bishop appreciated the dedicated service of the doctors, staff, Governing Board, and especially the Administrator for making GMM Hospital a meaningful Healing Witness in the community. He also expressed his wholehearted support for the Build GMM Hospital Project and shared his hope that the expanded hospital will become a beacon of healing and hope for all people, irrespective of caste, creed, gender, or age, with special care for the poor and the marginalized.
The programme was coordinated by the Administrator, Rev. Dr. Sam T. Mathew, while all arrangements for the visit were efficiently organized by the Associate Administrator, Ms. Achsah Susan Mathew.
Following the function, the Bishop signed the Visitors' Book and spent time in the boardroom interacting with the hospital leadership, including Treasurer Dr. Oommen P. GMM Hospital Celebrated the National

The Management and Staff of Rev. George Mathen Medical Mission Hospital extend our heartfelt greetings and sincere appreciation to all doctors across India, with special gratitude to the dedicated doctors of GMM Hospital. Your compassion, commitment, and selfless service continue to inspire hope and transform lives every day.
The occasion was made even more special as representatives from various sections of society joined us in expressing their gratitude to our doctors.
Students and SPC Cadets from CMS Higher Secondary School, Mallappallay led by Headmistress Mrs. Marykutty Joseph and teachers Ms. Chancy Mathew, Ms. Jeesha Jacob, Ms. Liya Mariyam Joseph, and Ms. Suby Elizabeth Mathew, visited the hospital to honour our doctors. The Headmistress felicitated the doctors, appreciating their invaluable service to society, especially their care for children.
Our Chief Medical Officer expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organisers and warmly encouraged the students to consider medicine as a noble career dedicated to serving humanity.
Secretary Prof. Mathew C. Mathew reaffirmed the hospital's commitment to community well-being by offering the support of GMM doctors in conducting awareness programmes and motivational sessions for students on stress management and healthy lifestyles.
The programme was facilitated by Ms. Chancy Mathew, Teacher of CMS Higher Secondary School. Associate Administrator Ms. Achsah Susan Mathew was also present. The students concluded their visit by distributing sweets to the doctors and hospital staff as a token of their love and appreciation.
We were also honoured by visits from the Manager and staff of Federal Bank, Mallappally Branch, who conveyed their warm wishes and presented gifts to our doctors. Representatives from South Indian Bank felicitated the doctors with citations in recognition of their dedicated service for the society, while representatives from HDFC Bank expressed their appreciation by presenting sweets and gifts.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined us in celebrating our doctors and recognising their unwavering dedication, compassion, and commitment to the health and well-being of our community.

The operation theater at Rev. George Mathew Medical Mission Hospital is now operational. Essential equipment, including a Cautery machine, Patient's monitor machine, and Crash cart trolley, were installed today.

Administrator Rev. Dr. Sam T. Mathew and the Hospital President offered prayers.Aksa Susan Mathew welcomed Prof. Mathew C. Mathew offered the vote of thanks. Dr. Oommen P. Nainan and the hospital staff also attended.

Dr. Binu Luke from South Africa, a seventh-generation descendant of George Mathen, generously donated the Cautery machine. We anticipate his visit next month, during which additional equipment is expected to be secured for the hospital🏥.
