WEEK 3 of Zero Waste School Program: Another Day of Learning and Smiles.
As part of our Zero Waste School Project, our team visited Manish Giri Memorial School, Nagrakata on 9th May 2026 for another engaging session filled with learning, creativity, awareness, and interactive activities with the students.
The session was planned in a fun and engaging way so that children could learn comfortably while enjoying every activity. With the students of Nursery, LKG, and UKG, the focus was on helping them learn basic things through playful methods. They practiced introducing themselves, identifying body parts, 1-2-3 counting, and A-Z learning through dancing, singing, and small interactive activities. Their energy, innocent responses, and happy smiles made the whole environment cheerful and lively.
On the other side, students from Classes 1 to 4 were first given a short recap of the previous session before being introduced to the concept of the 3Rs, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The discussion was kept simple and interactive so they could understand the importance of managing waste in their daily lives. To make the session more creative and enjoyable, the students also participated in bottle painting activities using used bottles. It was amazing to see their creativity, ideas, and excitement while turning simple waste materials into something colorful and meaningful.
The session was carried out by our team of 7 members along with the support and cooperation of the school teachers, whose involvement made the interaction with students even more comfortable and engaging for everyone.
Seeing the students participate so actively, learn new things with excitement, and enjoy every activity together made the entire session even more special.
Together, through small steps and meaningful actions, we continue moving towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
Join our movement and become a part of the change.
