Dhwani Foundation's Visit to FEDWE for Federation Collaboration 🌟

On 09.09.2024, the Dhwani Foundation team visited the FEDWE office in Madurai for a collaborative review aimed at verifying compliance and ensuring operational excellence. The visit focused on improving processes for ongoing projects, particularly "A Study on the Implementation of the Prevention of Atrocities Act in Madurai District."

During the visit, the Dhwani Foundation provided valuable inputs and recommendations to streamline project operations and enhance efficiency. The review resulted in several key suggestions for updates and improvements, which are expected to bring positive changes to the community. Advocating for Women’s Housing Rights in Theni District

On August 12, 2024, MBC women from Karattupatti (K.Vilakku) took a crucial step towards securing housing rights by filing petitions with the Theni District Collector during Grievance Day. The petitions demanded house sites for 45 women and the issuance of pattas for 19 women with already constructed homes.

Facilitated by Tamilaga Mahalir Iyyakkam (TMI) and supported by ISM, this initiative underscores the collective effort to empower women through property ownership, with the strong backing of Women Collective Leaders.

FEDWE coordinates 46 Dalit women-headed NGOs from 20 districts of Tamil Nadu. Our goal is to help women develop self-confidence, identity, and leadership skills, empowering them to achieve social justice, equality, and dignity at both local and national levels.
