Growing a greener tomorrow, one tree at a time!

As part of Swachhta Pakhwada 2026, Voluntary Association For Peoples Service (VAPS), with the support of ONGC, successfully conducted a Tree Plantation Programme at the University College of Engineering (Anna University Constituent College), Pullangudi, Ramanathapuram.

Students, faculty members, volunteers, and community members joined hands to plant saplings, demonstrating that every tree planted today contributes to cleaner air, a healthier environment, and a sustainable future for generations to come.

Together, we are creating a lasting green legacy through collective action and environmental responsibility.

The Tree Plantation Programme held at Anna University Regional Campus, Ramanathapuram has been prominently featured in Dinamalar newspaper on 09 July 2026.

Organized by Voluntary Association for Peoples Service (VAPS) with the support of ONGC under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and as part of the Government of India's Swachhta Pakhwada 2026 campaign, the programme aims to promote environmental conservation by planting 1,000 tree saplings.

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Divyanshu Nigam, Additional Collector (Development), Ramanathapuram. Mr. Jename Jeyam, Project Manager, ONGC Ramanathapuram, and Dr. Udayakumar, Dean, Anna University Regional Campus, Ramanathapuram, also participated by planting saplings and inspiring collective action towards a greener environment.

Every tree planted today is a step towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. ๐ŸŒฑ

The Tree Plantation Programme held at Anna University Regional Campus, Ramanathapuram has been featured in The Hindu Tamil newspaper on 09 July 2026.

Organized by Voluntary Association for Peoples Service (VAPS) with the support of ONGC under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and as part of the Government of India's Swachhta Pakhwada 2026 campaign, the programme aims to promote environmental conservation by planting 1,000 tree saplings.
