Association for Rural Development (ARD) is a registered charitable organisation based in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu in India. ARD is founded in the year 1985 by a group of socially committed youth with the vision of empowering the poor and the marginalised community mainly the women and children. ARD presently works in rural areas and urban slums in three districts- Madurai, Theni and Ramnad in Tamil Nadu State of South India.
