A Non Profit Organization founded by a Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon Dr Gopi Nallaiyan and his wife Dr Hemapriya to screen and treat Congenital Heart Disease in India.
We are doctors by passion and profession who realize the challenges faced by children in the hospitals with particular diseases and wish to make a change in the society by providing children suffering from congenital heart disease the facilities they need. We have been attending children in and Around Madurai for past few years and now with the help of many donors and associate partners we are extending the services to many more towns and villages that lack sufficient medical attention to touch those innocent lives.
Our vision is to uproot the suffering of children with congenital heart diseases by identifying them and create awareness about the challenges faced in terms of medical assistance and support to the local communities.
Further to ensure each of us lends a helping hand to make a difference in the life of every suffering child by providing free treatment and establishing an awareness centre.

The initiative
The Initiative would start by conducting medical drives at all districts across Tamil Nadu creating awareness about the disease. We welcome anyone who would like to make a change in the society by helping improve the lives of thousand of children whose sole fault is that they are poor to afford the cure.
The medical screening will be set-up for recognizing the heart diseases using Echo at various locations across Tamil Nadu. Patients diagnosed with congenital heart diseases would be asked to come to Madurai where they will be provided the either medical or surgical free of cost. We ensure that World class care and medical guidance is given to each and every patient who receive our care.
Our team of experienced professional will ensure that the best of care and medical attention is given to anyone who comes for treatment. We strongly believe that we as a whole can make a change in the society by bringing people forward and contributing.
How we help

Step 1
Identify kids in the 0 to 15 year age bracket with heart defects or diseases that are curable either surgically or medically. We do these through camps set up in rural, urban and semi-urban slums and villages. We also get leads for hospitals.

Step 2
Our panel of pediatric heart surgeons perform diagnosis to identify the issue and define the appropriate course of action.
Step 3
Consultation and Surgeries are performed by Dr. Gopi Nallaiyan , LHMF’s inhouse surgeon. He has operated 500 cases of which 200 cases were done in 2 years. Dr. Gopi Nallaiyan has worked across renowned hospitals in Madurai, Chennai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Raipur, Hyderabad, London and US.
What have we done so far?
Since our inception in November 2016, we have successfully operated on more than 200 children completely free of cost. We have conducted more than 22 camps in rural Tamilnadu and screened more than 23,500 children for Congenital heart disease.
