Dr. U.T. Uthappa from Kodagu (Coorg), Karnataka, has been recognised among the World’s Top 2% Scientists. Remarkably, he completed his schooling in Kodagu and PUC from Srimangala, South Kodagu.
He is the son of Uluvangada B. Sabu Thammaiah and Meena Hemavathy from T. Shettigeri, and is married to Haanya (Disha) from the Nellamakkada family.
The global list, compiled annually by Prof. John P. A. Ioannidis of Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier and Scopus, honours the most influential researchers worldwide, representing the top 2% of scientists.
Dr. Uthappa currently serves as a Post-Doctoral Scientist at the College of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, Shenzhen University, China.
