Today we received one of the most memorable gifts and appreciations from the Mizo NCC 2nd Bn Commanding Officer during the NCC Fest Programme held on 7th May 2026. The Mizoram Chakma Students Union Lunglei Zone participated and showcased the Chakma Cultural Dance and as a token of appreciation we received an NCC cap, a glass and some cash rewards. We are very grateful for your wonderful gifts and kind appreciation.

A Sumo accident occurred while travelling from Kamalanagar to Tlabung.
Vehicle Registration No: MZ05 1263.

The accident took place between Chivitlang and Tuichawng, Lunglei District, Mizoram. According to reports, the accident was caused by brake failure 😣.

Thankfully, no deaths have been reported, though a few passengers were injured 🤕.

Drive slowly, stay safe, and reach home safely. 🙏

The Mizoram Chakma Students Union (MCSU) Lunglei Zone today participated in the Chakma Cultural Dance at the “1st NCC Fest Mega Event” held at Thuamluaia Mual. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Mizoram, Lalduhawma, as the Chief Guest. Participants from several parts of India, especially from the Northeast region (Seven Sisters), took part in this grand mega event. The MCSU Lunglei Zone successfully represented the Chakma community through a wonderful cultural dance performance and achieved grand success in the event.
