🎭 Young voices echoed loudly against drug abuse at Bachpan Ki Awaaz – Inter-School Nukkad Natak Championship organized by District Administration Ludhiana & Aas Ehsaas NGO at GSSSS PAU School, Ludhiana under the theme “Yudh Nashea Virudh”.

10 schools participated with impactful performances spreading awareness on social issues, child rights and the need for a drug-free society.

🏆 GSSS Sohian emerged as the Champion winning ₹11,000 cash prize, while GSSS Dhaka Boys secured 1st Runner-Up and GSSS Tahli Sahib bagged 2nd Runner-Up.

The event was graced by ADC (General) Poonam Singh, PCS as Chief Guest along with Ms. Gunjeet Ruchi Bawa, Vice Chairperson, Punjab Child Rights Commission and Actor & Singer Mandy Sandhu as Guests of Honour.

A powerful initiative where students became the voice of awareness, responsibility and social change. ✨

May 4, GSSS Dhandari Khurd, Ludhiana — Under Nanhe Kadam, Gunjeet Ruchi Bawa directly interacted with 912 students (Classes 6–10)—marking a first-of-its-kind student outreach in Punjab by the Child Rights Commission. The session focused on child rights awareness, dropout prevention, drug abuse awareness, and promotion of Child Helpline 1098, in the presence of Principal Ujalveer Singh and staff. Supported by Aas Ehsaas NGO, the initiative also included distribution of stationery to encourage students.

Ms. Gunjeet Ruchi Bawa, Vice Chairperson, Punjab Child Rights Commission will be interacting with students, teachers and school authorities to spread awareness on child rights, promote the Child Helpline 1098, address school dropouts and encourage a drug-free, healthy future for every child.

With the support of Aas Ehsaas NGO, stationery items will also be distributed to motivate and encourage students.

Together, let’s create safer spaces where every child feels heard, protected and inspired.
