LMTMA Organizes Special Meeting Under 'RAMP' Scheme to Promote Industrial Innovation
LUDHIANA — A special and highly impactful meeting was successfully conducted at the office of the Ludhiana Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (LMTMA) under the 'Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance' (RAMP) program. The primary objective of this session was to raise awareness and empower member industries regarding key aspects of modern business practices, such as Advanced Metallurgy, Industry 4.0 Automation, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
The meeting was organized through the collaborative efforts of the Association's President-Shri Amarjit Singh, Senior Vice President-Shri Gurjeet Singh Bhambar, General Secretary-Shri Balpreet Singh, and the Governing Council (GC) members.
Key Highlight: The RAMP Scheme
The main attraction of the event was the detailed presentation on the RAMP scheme. This is a prestigious project supported by the World Bank, dedicated entirely to strengthening institutional governance in the MSME sector, improving market access, and accelerating greening initiatives.
Government Support and Industry Future
The General Manager of the District Industries Centre (GM DIC), Sh. S.S. Rekhi, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Addressing the attendees, the GM DIC reiterated the government's commitment to creating a competitive industrial environment. He encouraged local manufacturers to swiftly adopt Industry 4.0 technologies and to protect their innovations through IPR.
The interactive session concluded with a lively Question and Answer (Q&A) round, providing members with valuable and practical knowledge to expand and scale their businesses.

ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਮਸ਼ੀਨ ਟੂਲ ਮੈਨੂਫੈਕਚਰਰਜ਼ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ (LMTMA) ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿਖੇ 'ਰੇਜ਼ਿੰਗ ਐਂਡ ਐਕਸਲਰੇਟਿੰਗ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਐਮ.ਈ. ਪਰਫਾਰਮੈਂਸ' (RAMP) ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਉਦਯੋਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਪਹਿਲੂਆਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ — ਐਡਵਾਂਸਡ ਮੈਟਲਰਜੀ (ਧਾਤੂ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ), ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ 4.0 ਆਟੋਮੇਸ਼ਨ, ਅਤੇ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਸੰਪੱਤੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ (IPR) ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੰਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਜੀ ਸੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਸਦਕਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਆਕਰਸ਼ਣ 'ਰੈਂਪ' (RAMP) ਸਕੀਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਵਿਸਤ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਬੈਂਕ (World Bank) ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਐਮ.ਈ. (MSMEs) ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ, ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ-ਪੱਖੀ (greening) ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ (GM DIC) Sh. S.S. Rekhi ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਵਧਾਈ। ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਜੀ.ਐਮ. ਡੀ.ਆਈ.ਸੀ. ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗੀ ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਸਿਰਜਣ ਲਈ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ 4.0 ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਆਰ. (IPR) ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਨਵੀਨਤਾਵਾਂ (innovations) ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹ ਇੰਟਰਐਕਟਿਵ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਇੱਕ ਜੀਵੰਤ ਸਵਾਲ-ਜਵਾਬ (Q&A) ਦੌਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਦਾ ਦਾਇਰਾ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਹਿਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਲੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
