Navnoor, literally meaning “new light”, is an initiative by a group of students of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, to support, empower and enlighten the lives of deprived children belonging to slums and the migrant classes. We believe that education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. With an aim to bring light into their otherwise dark
lives and to make their futures bright, we teach these students in a park in PAU. To supplement their knowledge and to provide them expert guidance, we also send the interested children to nearby regular schools. Our objective is to make these children self-sufficient and help them face the world with confidence. During our journey of 4 years, many people have shown interest to help us grow as a unit. We do not accept money for our children but if someone wants to help in terms of spending some quality time with them or to sponsor their education are generously welcome!
