She lost her husband to the Panjab floods.

He went to save their cattle… and was tragically swept away by the floodwaters.

Sunita Kaur was left alone with three children and an unfinished house in Retewali Bhaini, Fazilka.

Today, that unfinished structure is now a safe and secure home.

Our SAF team completed the construction and officially handed over the house to the family — restoring not just walls and a roof, but dignity, stability, and hope.

And our work does not stop here.
SAF’s flood relief efforts will continue throughout 2026 as we stand beside families rebuilding their lives.

ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਮੁੜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸੈਫ਼ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੱਝਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਟੀਆਂ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਸਾਡਾ ਇਹ ਨਿਮਾਣਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਯਤਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਸਿਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸਵੈ-ਮਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ-ਰੋਟੀ ਕਮਾ ਸਕਣ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਰੂ-ਘਰ ਦੇ ਵਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ, ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਮਾਲੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ। ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੜਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਭਰ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਘੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸੈਫ਼ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗਰਾਊਂਡ ਜ਼ੀਰੋ 'ਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬਾਰੀਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਨੀਡ-ਬੇਸਡ ਸਰਵੇ (Needs-based Survey) ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸਰਵੇ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਗਗੜਕੇ ਦੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਮਦਦ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਸੀ।

ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਦਕਾ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਸਿਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਸ਼ਿੰਗ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ, ਫਰਿੱਜ, ਗੀਜ਼ਰ, ਇਨਵਰਟਰ, ਬੈੱਡ ਅਤੇ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਲਈ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।

ਸਾਡਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਮੁਸਕਾਨ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਆਤਮ-ਨਿਰਭਰ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ। ਸੈਫ਼ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਫੜਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।

ਗੁਰਲਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਕੁੱਝ ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਜਿਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਗੁਰਲਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਖਾਣਾ ਖਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ - ਬਿਮਾਰ ਰਿਹਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਅੱਜ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਮਾਈ ਦੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਦੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।SAF International ਨੇ ਗੁਰਲਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ Food Aid ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਨ-ਪਾਣੀ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਰਹੇ।

ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡਾ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਰਹੇਗੀ ਕਿ ਗੁਰਲਾਲ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਸਿਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ — ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸਿਲਾਈ ਜਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਛੋਟੀ ਦੁਕਾਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ।

ਇਹ ਸਭ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ।
