Institute for Water & Climate Initiatives (IWCI) expresses its sincere gratitude to the Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) for recognizing our efforts under the Green Commando Campaign 2026.

We are deeply honoured to receive this recognition and thank Dr. R.P. Singh, Chairperson, UPPCB, Board Members Shri Bhikari Prajapati Ji and Shri Rajendra Pal Ji, and the entire UPPCB team for encouraging environmental management and community-led action.

This Menstrual Hygiene Day, we reaffirm the importance of dignity, awareness, and access for every girl and woman.
Yesterday, we conducted an interactive session at Bisandi Khurd Gram Panchayat, Banda, with adolescent girls focused on menstrual hygiene awareness. During the meeting, discussions were held on maintaining proper hygiene during periods, breaking myths and stigma around menstruation, and understanding the importance of safe menstrual practices for health and confidence.
Sanitary napkins were also distributed to help girls manage their periods safely and with dignity.
Menstrual health is not just a personal issue — it is connected to education, health, equality, and access to safe WASH facilities. Creating supportive and period-friendly spaces in schools and communities is essential to ensure that no girl misses opportunities because of menstruation.
Let’s continue building a world where periods are understood, accepted, and supported without shame.

Eco Talk & Earth Day Celebration 2026 | Be the Change Maker

The Institute for Water & Climate Initiatives (IWCI) successfully conducted an Eco Talk and Earth Day Celebration at Vidhyawati Nigam Memorial School on 18 April 2026.

Around 250+ students enthusiastically participated in the session, engaging in discussions on environmental protection, sustainability, climate action, and the importance of becoming responsible change makers for a greener future.

We sincerely thank the school management for providing us the opportunity to create awareness among young minds and inspire collective action for our planet. Together, every small step can lead to a big change.

As we approach World Water Day (22 March) 2026, the Institute for Water and Climate Initiatives (IWCI) invites communities to come together for collective action towards Water Conservation and Gender Equality.

Water bodies are the lifelines of our communities-they sustain ecosystems, support livelihoods, and ensure access to safe water. Yet, they are increasingly under threat due to pollution, neglect, and climate stress.

Protecting and restoring them is not just an environmental responsibility, but a social necessity.

On this occasion, we are organizing a Cleanliness Drive at Nawab Tank, Banda (6:30 AM - 9:30 AM), encouraging citizens to take ownership of local water bodies and contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment.

Alongside, a Painting Competition on "Water & Gender" will provide a platform for participants to creatively express how water access impacts the lives of women and girls and envision a more equitable future.

Every drop counts. Every action matters. Let's come together to protect our water, our future.
