I Care India

I Care India Children, Youth & Community According to the UNESCO Institute of Statistics, India stood at 90.2% youth literacy rate in 2015.

Even though India has taken leaps and bounds toward literacy since independence, the ground realities speak of inefficiency, lack of transparency and ownership, while thousands of children do not have access to education at all. icareindia believes that the first step towards development, that of the self, society and the nation, is education. The organisation aims to provide a holistic learning e

nvironment to primary school children by joining hands with educational institutions, corporates, government schools and college students. icareindia serves communities at the ground level with focus on sustenance and complements efforts of the government and civil society organizations toward the same goal. To ensure that knowledge goes from books to home, icareindia collaborates with college students, particularly NSS and NCC cadets, who volunteer and supplement educational classes in government primary schools. icareindia’s three pillars – Child Development, Youth Connect and Community Empowerment – set a framework for all-inclusive development through community engagement and ownership.
