🌱🙏 Young Hands, Green Hearts – Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idols

The enthusiastic students of SKBM High School came together with creativity and excitement to participate in the Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idol Making Initiative, supported by ITC Mission Sunehara Kal,
and guided by GMC Commissioner Kathawate Mayur Ashok, IAS.

Using natural clay, the students lovingly created their own eco-friendly Ganesh idols, which they will take home to worship during the upcoming Ganesh festival. 🐘🌿

More than an activity, this initiative is a meaningful step towards nurturing environmental awareness among young minds and encouraging children to become ambassadors of a greener, healthier future. 💚

While the initiative also contributes to an effort towards a Guinness World Record, its true value lies in inspiring children—and through them, the wider community—to care for nature, biodiversity and our environment.

🌿 When children learn to love and protect nature today, they help build a better tomorrow for everyone.

🌿 Cleanliness Awareness Through Creativity ✋🌿

Under the Swachh Jeevan Pariyojana of Metso, a Mehndi Competition was organized at Mahatma Gandhi Government Higher Secondary School, Bamboli, to promote awareness about cleanliness and personal hygiene among students.
The students enthusiastically participated and creatively expressed messages of cleanliness and healthy living through beautiful Mehndi designs. Their hands carried meaningful messages such as “Adopt Cleanliness,” “Stay Clean, Stay Healthy,” and “Clean School, Healthy School.”
This unique activity helped students understand that cleanliness is not limited to our surroundings—it also includes personal hygiene, hand hygiene, and a healthy lifestyle.
By combining creativity with awareness, the competition encouraged responsibility, participation, and a positive attitude towards building a cleaner and healthier future. 🌱✨

Anemia Awareness and Screening Program at Sundaraya Colony

An Anemia Awareness and Screening Program was successfully conducted on 1 September 2026 at Memorial School, Sundaraya Colony P4 Area, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh- by ITC MSK – Finish Society. School children participated actively in learning about anemia, its causes, symptoms, prevention, and the importance of iron-rich nutrition and regular hemoglobin screening. Representatives from the Sachivalayam, Primary Health Centre, ANMs, ASHA Workers, Health Supervisor, Area Corporator, School Principal, Teachers, and Anganwadi Workers also participated. Together, we aim to promote healthy dietary practices, early screening, and timely follow-up for a healthier community.

Celebrating Raksha Bandhan with Our Swachhta Didis 🤝🌿

On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a special interaction was organized with the Swachhta Didis of Mainpat, Chhattisgarh, under the Parivesh Project, supported by LIC Housing Finance Limited
As a symbol of respect, solidarity, and shared responsibility, Raksha Sutras were tied to the Swachhta Didis, acknowledging their valuable contribution towards keeping Mainpat clean and healthy.

The occasion also reaffirmed our commitment to stand with them and extend our continued support in their efforts towards improving sanitation, cleanliness, and the overall well-being of the Mainpat community.

Building Cleaner Communities, Creating Local Opportunities 🌱

More than 200 Block-level officials, Panchayati Raj representatives and Swachhta Didis from 46 Gram Panchayats were oriented on community-led waste management and sustainable tourism. Learnings from 10 project Gram Panchayats of Mainpat, Chhattisgarh, were showcased as a practical model for replication.

The next step is to build a Cascading Model for Swachhta, Waste-to-Value and Eco-Tourism, empowering Swachhta Didis, SHGs and Panchayats as local champions. ♻️

By linking waste management with livelihoods and tourism, the initiative aims to create cleaner destinations, stronger community ownership, new SHG enterprises and sustainable rural livelihood opportunities.
