Driving data for a cleaner tomorrow! ♻️✨

Under the Parivesh Project, supported by LIC Housing Finance Limited CSR, the FINISH Society team is conducting a Waste Composition Study across 10 Gram Panchayats in Mainpat block.

This study aims to assess per capita waste generation and estimate the total waste produced across the block—laying the foundation for effective solid waste management, source segregation, and a cleaner, sustainable Mainpat.

Because the right sanitation solutions begin with the right data. 🌱

On April 28, 2026, with the support of LIC Housing Finance Limited CSR, the team organized an awareness session in the scenic villages of Mainpat, Chhattisgarh under the Parivesh Project, marking World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

The session saw active participation from Swachhagrahis, SHG women, and community members. Participants were informed about potential workplace hazards and practical prevention measures.

Special emphasis was placed on the use of PPE (gloves, masks, footwear), safe waste handling practices, and the importance of personal hygiene.

The session concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to adopt safe work practices and prioritize health and safety in their daily lives.

Successfully inaugurated 2 new classrooms and a Rainwater Harvesting Structure at MPP School, Devanagapuri (Chirala Mandal), strengthening education and sustainability at the grassroots.

With the presence of MLA Madduluri Malakondaiah and partners from ITC Limited, and participation of 200+ community members, the event showcased the power of collaboration.

From Waste to Opportunity—A Village Takes the Lead 🌱♻️

Under the "Project Parivesh" supported by LIC Housing Finance Limited, a one-day capacity-building workshop on Solid Waste Management was successfully conducted in Gram Ropakhar, Mainpat block, of Chhattisgarh, with support from FINISH Society.

With active participation from block officials, पंचायत representatives, and NRLM members, the session focused on practical solutions—waste segregation, door-to-door collection, safe disposal, and home composting. The highlight? Turning waste into livelihood opportunities.

Led by district leadership including CEO Khushboo Shastri, the workshop inspired a strong collective commitment:
“Our Waste, Our Responsibility.”

A small step for a village, a big leap towards sustainable and cleaner communities. 🌍✨

Building Healthy Habits, One School at a Time 🌿🧼

Under the Swachh Jeevan Pariyojana—supported by Metso India and implemented by FINISH Society—continuous efforts are being made to strengthen school WASH practices, improving health, hygiene, education outcomes, and contributing to key Sustainable Development Goals.

📍 At Rajkiya Uchch Prathmik Vidyalaya Sakhla and Indra Colony Sakhla Primary School, a simple yet impactful step is being promoted:

✋ Weekly Nail Check Drive (हर सोमवार):
Teachers encourage children to stretch out their hands during prayer or in class to check nail length, cleanliness, and hygiene. If nails are found dirty or overgrown, students are guided to trim and maintain them regularly.

💧 Hygiene Awareness in Action:
Alongside this, awareness sessions on proper handwashing practices and the importance of safe, clean drinking water are actively conducted with children.

🌟 As per Swachh Jeevan Pariyojana, ensuring personal hygiene among children is a powerful step toward a healthier future.

A meaningful step towards a cleaner future! 🌿 Under the SASA (Swarna Andhra – Swachh Andhra) initiative, ITC MSK & FINISH Society joined hands with AP Pollution Control Board at SKBM Municipal High School, Guntur — installing a Grey Water Treatment Structure to reuse wastewater for gardening & cleaning, reducing pressure on freshwater sources.

Students, teachers & community members came together to champion Rainwater Harvesting & Water Body Conservation. 💪
