When Henna and Art Became the Voice of Cleanliness
Under the LICHFL Parivesh Project, the FINISH Society team organized a Mehendi and Art Competition in Gram Panchayat Asgawan, Mainpat-Chhattisgarh, to promote awareness on cleanliness, waste segregation, and environmental protection.
Women, adolescent girls, and children enthusiastically participated, showcasing their creativity through beautiful mehendi designs and artwork carrying messages of sanitation and sustainable waste management.
During the event, participants were sensitized about the importance of segregating wet and dry waste and adopting responsible waste management practices. Through these creative activities, the community was encouraged to take an active role in building a cleaner, greener, and healthier village.

🌍🌱 World Environment Day 2026 at Nagaravanam, Perecherla

ITC MSK FINISH Society, in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board and Forest Department, organized seed ball preparation and plantation activities to promote environmental conservation and biodiversity.

The event was graced by District Collector & Magistrate Mr Sai Kanth Varma, IAS, along with government officials, environmentalists, and students. Participants actively contributed to greening efforts, while young environmental champions were recognized for their Waste to Wealth initiatives.

🌍🌱 World Environment Day 2026 | Growing a Greener Future Together

On 5 June 2026, the ITC Mission Sunehra Kal team of FINISH Society celebrated World Environment Day through plantation drives and environmental awareness campaigns in Kapurthala and Village Jhal Thikriwal (Dhaliwal Bet).

With the active participation of government officials, Panchayat representatives, community members, and the Forest Department, over 100 citizens united to plant saplings and pledge their commitment to environmental protection.

The campaign promoted the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, responsible waste management, and sustainable daily habits.

🌱 World Environment Day 2026 Celebrated in Kalakh Village 🌱

On 5 June 2026, World Environment Day was celebrated under the Adarsh Gram Kalakh Project, supported by Aavas Financiers Limited and implemented by FINISH Society. The event brought together local leaders, government officials, community members, and children to promote environmental stewardship.

🌳 Saplings of Ashoka, Jamun, and Malabar Neem were planted during the program.

🌿 As part of a larger green initiative, 4,000 fruit-bearing and shade-giving trees will be planted by July 2026, with a target of 5,000 trees and the establishment of a community nursery. Local Village Development Committee (VDC) members and residents will lead the care and protection of these plantations, ensuring long-term environmental impact.

Together, we are creating a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for Kalakh and its surrounding communities. 💚

🌱 World Environment Day 2026 | Plantation Drive

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Swachh Jeevan Project of Metso, organized a plantation drive in Bahala and Kerwa Jat Panchayats in Alwar, under the “One Tree for Mother” campaign.

Community members, women, and youth enthusiastically participated, planted saplings, and pledged to nurture them for a greener future. The initiative promoted environmental conservation, cleanliness, water conservation, and collective action against climate change.

🌍♻️ World Environment Day Action at Tiger Point, Mainpat

On the occasion of , the FINISH Society team organized a special Clean-Up Drive at Tiger Point, Mainpat under the Parivesh Project supported by LIC Housing Finance Limited

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from SHG members, local community members, tourism vendors, Forest Committee representatives, SBM Cluster Coordinators, the Circle Forest Officer, and other key stakeholders.

Together, the team collected and removed 115 kg of plastic waste, contributing to a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful tourist destination.

The event was graced by Ms. Nazima Begum, Regional Officer, , and Mr. Tirupati Reddy, who participated and appreciated the children's creativity, and commitment to environmental stewardship.

एक हरित और सुरक्षित भविष्य केवल पौधे लगाने से नहीं बनेगा, बल्कि जल संरक्षण, कचरा प्रबंधन, एकल-उपयोग प्लास्टिक के उपयोग में कमी, और प्रकृति की निरंतर रक्षा से बनेगा।

Building Stronger Communities Through P4 Partnership

With support of ITC Mission Sunehra Kal (MSK) ,FINISH Society team successfully conducted a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercise in Jonnalagadda Village, Tadikonda Mandal, Guntur District, under the Government of Andhra Pradesh's flagship P4 (Public-Private-People Partnership) initiative.

The session brought together local leaders, Panchayat officials, ICDS teachers, supervisors, and representatives from various line departments to collectively understand village needs and opportunities for development. Also shared the vision and interventions of ITC Mission Sunehra Kal (MSK) and FINISH Society under the P4 framework.

A village social map was developed through active community participation, creating a strong foundation for inclusive planning and sustainable development.

The P4 model is a powerful example of collective responsibility—where one capable family supports one vulnerable family, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Together, government institutions, private organizations, and communities can create lasting change.
