Some conversations are uncomfortable.
Some are difficult to begin.
But some conversations can make a child feel safer.
We spent the day with around 150 children from Grades 1–6, talking about things that matter to their safety — their rights, 1090, recognising unsafe situations, and knowing when and how to seek help.
With students from Grades 4–6, we also opened conversations around growing up, the changes that come with adolescence, and understanding po*******hy and inappropriate content in an age-appropriate way.
The goal wasn’t just to give answers.
It was to make sure children know that their questions matter, their boundaries matter, and their voice matters.
Because sometimes, giving a child the right information at the right time can make all the difference. 💛
