The 16th edition of CII AgroTech India โ€“ Krishi Bharat 2024, held from 15-18 November 2024 at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was an incredible journey of innovation, learning, and collaboration.

During CII AgroTech India - Krishi Bharat 2024, the summit showcased transformative discussions and forward-looking strategies to elevate India's agricultural and supply chain sectors. Among the highlights was the Cold Chain & Logistics India Summit 2024, which focused on advancing infrastructure, technology, and sustainability to create a resilient supply chain ecosystem.

The event commenced with an inspiring inaugural session, featuring key industry leaders. Mr. Jasmohan Singh, Conference Chairman & Managing Director of Frick India Limited, addressed the audience alongside Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, Country Head - Channel Sales, Copeland India Pvt Ltd, and Mr. Arunkumar Durairajan, Assistant Vice President โ€“ Sales, India - Commercial Refrigeration, Blue Star Ltd. Mr. Charchit Gaur, ACEO of UP State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA), graced the session as the Guest of Honour and announced the launch of the UP Warehousing Policy and the Private Industrial Park Policy. These initiatives aim to boost industrial growth, focusing on Purvanchal and Madhyanchal, with industrial parks spanning 20 to 100 acres.

The first panel discussion, titled "Technology-Driven Cold Chain: Innovations, Efficiency, and Data-Driven Insights," delved into cutting-edge cold chain innovations, such as smart sensors, automation, and advanced refrigeration systems. The session emphasized the critical role of data and analytics in optimizing operations, including demand forecasting and real-time monitoring, while showcasing energy-efficient cold storage and transportation solutions that reduce carbon footprints. Esteemed panelists included Ms. Ankita Sahu, Senior Manager at Anarock Capital; Mr. Jai Agarwal, Managing Director of CP Milk & Food Prod Pvt. Ltd; Mr. Manoj Singh, AVP โ€“ Refrigeration at Daikin India; Mr. Sameer Shinde, Business Leader at Thermo King Transport Refrigeration Solutions; Mr. B. Sumit Kumar, CEO of TCI Cold Chain Solutions Ltd; and Mr. Sameep Tripathi, Founder & CEO of Carrus Mobility Pvt Ltd.

The second panel discussion, "Building Resilient and Sustainable Logistics & Supply Chains for the Future," explored transformative technologies such as AI, IoT, and machine learning, which are revolutionizing logistics operations. The session addressed green transportation initiatives, eco-friendly packaging solutions, and waste reduction strategies, alongside the role of automation and robotics in enhancing productivity. Strategies for resilience against disruptions, such as natural disasters, were also discussed. The final day of CII Agrotech India Krishi Bharat 2024 kicked off with an insightful Kisan Ghoshthi on "เค•เฅƒเคทเคฟ เคตเคพเคจเคฟเค•เฅ€: เค—เฅ‡เคนเฅ‚เค‚ เค”เคฐ เคงเคพเคจ เค•เฅ€ เค–เฅ‡เคคเฅ€ เค•เคพ เคตเคฟเค•เคฒเฅเคช," attended by farmers from across Uttar Pradesh. The session provided valuable insights into alternative cropping systems that can potentially double farmers' incomes. Emphasizing the importance of soil testing before planting any crop, the event also featured an interactive discussion where farmers learned about agroforestry practices and the suitable crops for planting.

On the final day of CII AgroTech India - Krishi Bharat 2024, the conference on "Sustainable Agriculture for a Resilient Future" brought together thought leaders and experts to explore the integration of innovation in agriculture. Chaired by Shri Asim Arun, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Social Welfare, Scheduled Caste and Tribal Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh, the session provided a platform to discuss transformative approaches to boost agricultural productivity through climate-smart practices.

The session emphasized the importance of determining optimal sowing times, leveraging scientific knowledge, and adopting seed treatment to enhance crop and soil health. Discussions also focused on effective crop management and pest control strategies, critical for building resilient agricultural systems and empowering local farming communities.
