ct where you can live, where you can die, which school your children go attend, which streets you are allowed to use, which well you call use if any and if you marry out of your caste it can bring social stigma, violence and even death but then even cchools, medical facilities, banks, all carry out some level of caste hierarchy and the caste system is coming back with a vengeance with many people murdered just for marrying a different caste – villagers this year rioted in India and blocked roads because they demanded the right to murder young couples if they marry out of their caste. Knowing all this our so called rulling govt is still hell bent on conducting caste based census. India has been conducting the national census since 1872 and this is its 15th but the last caste census was carried out last in 1931 by the former British colonial rulers.This census, to be launched in April, will include photographs and fingerprints of everyone aged over 15 to create a biometric national database and the government will then use the information to issue identity cards – though it is now yet known if caste will appear on identity cards or not.this latest census can only bring worry to the people of India with the Hindu Nationalists trying to use this data to help them in their efforts to force a return to the caste system and the subjugation of all minorities within its rigid code.
