Dear All,
On behalf of the Federation of Bank of India Officers' Association (FBOIOA), We are delighted to share the gist of Central Consultative Committee Meeting held on March 25th and 26th, 2025, with the esteemed Top Management of Bank of India, represented by respected MD & CEO Shri Rajnish Karnatak ji, Esteemed Executive Directors Shri Rajagopalji, Shri M Karthikeyanji ,Shri Rajiv Mishra ji, CGM HR Shri Rajesh Ingle ji and other dignitaries.
This two-day meeting witnessed a thorough and constructive dialogue on several critical issues affecting our officer fraternity. Our FBOIOA team engaged in detailed discussions, addressing concerns.
Key agenda points:
1) *Lodging/Boarding charges*: We re iterated the urgent need to increase long overdue enhancement of lodging charges to ensure parity with peer banks.
2) *Subsidized Accommodation rent entitlement:* We strongly recapitulated for the much warranted upward revision in subsidized accomodation rent entitlement.
3) *Career Progression & Conversion of Specialist Officers*: We have been persistently following up in this regard for a prolonged period. Seized of the concerns of our specialist cadre colleagues and in order to boost their career prospects, we have insisted for satisfactory resolution to the issue
4) *Annual Administrative Transfer Exercise*: We emphasized the need for minimal disturbance during the annual transfer exercise, ensuring a smooth transition for our officers
5) *Modalities of Housing Loan Insurance:* We had been constantly harping upon suitable addressing of concerns about life insurance coverage while availing staff home loan, specially hefty premium burden.
6) *Suggestions to Improve Cost* *to Income Ratio & Star Light*: We presented many constructive suggestions to enhance the Cost to Income Ratio (CIR) and ambitious Star Light initiative with intent to foster more efficient and positive working environment for our employees. We also placed informative ideas to plough income leakages, augment avenues of income generation apart from only relying on Third Party Products income.
7) *Perquisite Taxes Absorption*: The crucial issue which had burned a hole in pocket of almost every employee, has been pursued very religiously by us. We put aptly forth gravity of the present situation of an employee, wading through financial distress
Friends, we strongly insisted to provide respite to our employees. Bank Management has also assured to resolve impasse at the earliest. We are optimistic that bank management will reciprocate befittingly by displaying willingness to address our concerns. This meeting which witnessed robust and effective representation by FBOIOA, underscores the importance of our collective voice and the power of unity.
