The theme of World Water Day 2026, “Water and Gender,” highlights that water challenges are deeply connected with equality and shared responsibility. In many communities, access to safe water continues to shape the daily lives of both women and men—impacting time, health, livelihoods, and opportunities.

While progress has been made, sustainable change can only happen when communities come together to understand these challenges and take collective action.

At Trust of People, our focus is to empower and aware communities so they can identify water-related issues and implement solutions together. Building Entrepreneurs, Powering Local Economies 🚀

Grassroots entrepreneurship is the engine of inclusive growth. Through an intensive Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) with partner Cashphor Micro Credit, Community Health Facilitators strengthened their capabilities in business management, market positioning, sales strategy, team leadership, and basic financial tracking.

The sessions blended practical learning, peer exchange, and problem-solving, enabling participants to adopt customer-centric approaches, data-driven decision making, and sustainable micro-enterprise practices.

A Step Towards Empowerment Through Skills! ♻️

A successful two-day Technical Skill Training on Plastic Recycling was organized for employees at Chamunda Plastic Industry. The training was delivered by the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET) and facilitated by the FINILOOP Amritsar team.

During the sessions, participants learned practical methods to identify different types of plastics, including techniques based on density, burning behavior, smell, and texture. Demonstrations of advanced recycling technologies such as extruder and injection molding machines were also conducted.

At the end of the training, the CIPET Director awarded certificates to all participants. Mr. Naveen Kakaria, owner of the Model SME, was also present on this occasion.

🌸 Women Rising, Communities Thriving!

On International Women's Day, the FINILoop team celebrated the occasion at Ramdevara Temple in Ward 45, Mansarovar Zone, Jaipur. Over 50 women including SHG members and Anganwadi workers participated in the program.

The session highlighted the 2026 theme “Rights, Equality and Action for All Women and Girls,” while discussing women’s rights, the role of SHGs in economic empowerment, and government initiatives supporting women’s livelihoods.

The event celebrated the strength, achievements, and leadership of women shaping stronger communities. 💪🌸

On International Women's Day, a vibrant celebration was held at Sundargarh under the Sports Promotion Project at Tankadhar High School Ground, Nuadihi. Supported by TP Western Odisha Distribution Ltd. and Trust of People, the event highlighted the theme “Empowering Girls Through Sports & Leadership.” Girl athletes, students, teachers, and community members joined together in sports demonstrations and Kho-Kho matches, celebrating the power of sports in building confidence, teamwork, and leadership among young girls. 💪🏽🌸

When young women lead, villages rise. 💪🌸

At Shri Ramdev PG College in Mahmoodpur Gram Panchayat, under the STREE Project, we held an engaging session with 30 BA first-year students on safe sanitation and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM). These young women, active members of the Rashtriya Seva Yojana, are not just participants—they are future community volunteers. Our goal goes beyond awareness; we are building a grassroots force to support village women in health, hygiene, and empowerment.
