I never planned to bring my mother into my content. There was no intention of creating something big or meaningful online. At that time, she had recently faced issues with her back and had spent years centring her life around family and responsibilities. I wanted her to have something of her own, something that would keep her engaged and happy.

As a joke, we made a video together and I posted it. It crossed one million views. I remember thinking that the number mattered far less than the fact that my mother was happier than I was. That was when I realised that people were not watching us for trends or performance. They were connecting with her.

Nothing we do is scripted or planned. What people see on screen is exactly how she is in real life. Those who know her personally know this to be true. Over time, people began recognising her in public spaces. At temples, while travelling, even during everyday routines, someone would come up and say they knew her from our videos.

I remember attending a kirtan with my mother and sister when a young woman approached us. Her hands were trembling as she spoke. She told me she knew my mother through our content. I am just a normal person, but moments like that stay with you. They remind you of the quiet impact familiarity and warmth can have.

There have been moments of recognition online as well. Saurabh Dwivedi from The Lallantop followed me, along with a few other well known personalities. But what moves me the most are personal messages. One person wrote to say their mother used to speak exactly like mine, and that watching our videos brought back memories of her. They wanted to meet us, and we plan to do so soon.

I am busy with college and with NGO work, but my mother is far more active than I am. She reminds me to post content. She enjoys being involved. I am not very comfortable acting on camera, but she is expressive and dramatic, and that is simply who she is. It keeps her busy, engaged, and genuinely happy.

At the age of 17, I began my journey in the world of cricket. At the time, I did not know exactly what role I wanted to take up in the sports industry, but I was certain of one thing. “I simply knew that I wanted to work in cricket.” I did not have a structured plan or a defined position in mind, but I was clear that this was the space I wanted to grow in.

My first serious opportunity came at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, where I photographed a Ranji match. I was among the youngest women to carry a 600 mm lens at the stadium. That day marked my entry into professional sports work. As I often say, “I had no idea what the sports industry really looked like. There were no clear designations and no certain procedure to reach a stage.” Everything I learned during those early years came from observing others, experimenting, and putting in consistent effort.

In an attempt to learn and find opportunities, I began messaging seniors in the industry every day. “This is the result of sending thousands of messages and receiving responses from just two people.” To remain part of the ecosystem, I worked with multiple cricket pages, handled social media, created content, and took up corporate collaborations. Over time, this consistency led to my breakthrough with the Indian Premier League, where I worked with Lucknow Super Giants. Being featured on their platform and later working as a senior content associate helped me understand the scale, pressure, and seriousness of the sports industry.

That phase pushed me to think beyond working on the field. “I realised I wanted an entrepreneurial journey rather than just being on camera.” To gain global exposure, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Sports Media at the University of East London, where I received a scholarship in the sports domain. While studying in the UK, I interned with a cricket academy that worked in correlation with the England and Wales Cricket Board at Lord’s Cricket Ground. This experience gave me valuable exposure to international cricket operations and professional standards.

I don’t live in one identity.
I breathe through music, move through discipline, write through silence, and think through questions.

My story did not start with a dream. It started with loss.

After my father passed away, everything became quieter in a way I was not prepared for. Days felt longer. Silence felt heavier. Talking felt difficult. I did not pick up the flute to perform or to be seen. I picked it up because I needed something to hold me together. In 2016, while learning at Bhatkhande, music slowly became my way of coping. When I could not speak, the flute spoke for me.

Growing up, my life went through many changes. Family, identity, surroundings, responsibilities. One thing kept staying with me, music. Alongside that came movement and discipline through sport, and reflection through writing. At some point, I realised I could not fit into one box. I was not just a musician. I was also an athlete, a writer, and someone constantly trying to understand himself.

The struggles never completely disappeared. But quitting was never an option. My biggest fear was never failure. It was myself. There was a point where I had to ask, “Aakhir kab tak aisa hi rahega?”

Today, I am pursuing an MBA while building my own media and social media marketing business. I handle clients, manage work, stay involved in college, and continue with music and fitness. As a student and part of the techno group of the institute, my days are busy. Some days are chaotic. Some days are quiet. Most days are a mix of everything.

When I am asked where I see myself in five years, my answer is simple. I want to be mentally stable.

Not famous. Not perfect. Just stable.

I do not believe inspiration always comes from people. For me, it came from a thought. The belief that things can change. That life does not have to stay stuck in one version forever.

Hi Everyone! This is Anubhav Singh, a passionate chess player and a professional chess tutor. My journey started at the age of 12, when I saw a chess set at my uncle’s place. Dekhte hi curiosity huyi..how do these pieces move? kya logic hai is game ka? He then taught me the basics and that’s where it all began. I started with school and district tournaments, took late night ChessCube sessions, trained at Avijai Chess Academy, and played my first FIDE-rated event in 2017, Lucknow. Phir rating boost karne ke liye Jaipur, Varanasi, Delhi, MP, Punjab sab cover kiya. During lockdown, I discovered my love for teaching while working with Victorious Chess Academy (Pune) and Mind Mentorz, until one day when i finally decided:

“Ab apna kuch banana hai.”

And that’s how MadOverChess was born.

Transitioning from tutor to founder changed everything. Now it wasn’t just about teaching, it meant managing admissions, hiring trainers, planning content, handling operations, organizing tournaments and camps, all while ensuring every student enjoys the learning experience. This journey as a founder has taught me so much and the joy of building everything step by step is beyond anything I ever felt as just a tutor. Of course, challenges were many. Building the website? I had zero idea. Then this constant curiosity first admission kab aayega? Tournaments were never the problem par phir gifts aur certificates time pe kaise deliver honge? Courier wale bhaiya ke saath toh friendship hi ho gayi! And the fear: Itni academies hain…will I even survive? Will I be able to deliver quality and stand out? Every day felt like a silent battle. But each struggle brought growth and moments of joy.

I wasn't the humorous guy all the time. I was the quiet kid at school, the awkward, excruciatingly bashful one who would sooner hide behind his books than engage in conversation. I wasn't very good at talking to people, but I quickly learnt that friendship was simpler if I could make someone laugh. That turned into a quick way for me to connect. I discovered a voice that people truly paid attention to somewhere in between uncomfortable hellos and group laughs. There's no turning back once you taste that. Humour eventually became muscle memory, seeping into every discussion and every moment of stillness that needed to be broken. "You should do something like Kapil Sharma," a friend once told me. It stuck, even though I shrugged it off at the time. Perhaps I could. Perhaps I ought to.

So I gave it a shot. I decided to take advantage of open mics, which are five-minute time intervals that seem endless when performing on stage. That one good night was enough to hook me in, and my first mic went surprisingly well. After a year, there have been 125 open mics and innumerable lessons. I referred to the first eight performances as beginner's luck because they were excellent- almost too fantastic. Then came the mediocre ones, the ego-bruising nights, and the quiet moments that resounded more loudly than cheers.

But eventually, something clicked. I recovered. At first, my parents weren't really excited. Yes, they were encouraging, but they thought it was simply a hobby because I was also doing my MBA. Then, last month, a poster featuring my name and photograph went around and suddenly, it became real for them. Their pride said what words didn’t.

Not every night was magical, of course. On several shows, not a single laugh was heard. I initially placed the responsibility on the audience. Then I understood that it was about knowing timing, tone, and truth, not about them. Comedy takes time to develop via trial and error and introspection.

Now, I’m addicted not to the stage, but to that sound. “Mujhe hasi ki awaaz bohot pasand hai; khaaskar jab maine hasaya ho.” I love the sound of laughter, especially when I’m the reason for it.

In addition to being a steel developer, Baljeet Singh Modi is also an advocate and, most importantly, a kind leader. A small dog named Pepsi would wait outside his house every day to be fed, marking the beginning of his service journey in 2017–18. By the time of COVID-19, he was feeding about 25 dogs in his community, having begun as a little act of kindness with his mother that quickly expanded into a daily commitment. On August 15, 2021, Jeevashray presented him with the Heart of Gold Award in appreciation of his commitment. In addition to confirming his efforts, that experience made him more determined to keep helping.

After that, he founded the Swapna Foundation, where he has spent the last four years working as an active field major. Through the foundation, he not only expanded his service to human welfare with programs like Umang but also found a platform that strengthened his leadership and public speaking skills, giving him the confidence to inspire others.

The Breakfast Drive—a Sunday morning custom of feeding the underprivileged—was born out of his own busy schedule. Baljeet realised that during the day he was occupied at his shop, so he began this initiative in the mornings, believing that even those immersed in their work could still spare time to create a positive change. His younger brother, Achyut Tripathi, joined him in this mission, and together they have conducted more than 70 drives so far, each one spreading the message that compassion can fit into even the busiest of lives.

Baljeet continued to manage his professional career as a steel developer and advocate alongside his position as President of Aishbagh Road Udyog Vyapar Mandal. He also pursued an LLB at DAV PG College, where he was elected Vice President, in addition to his service. A lifelong lover of sports, he enjoys playing football, cricket, and volleyball—activities that have strengthened his sense of teamwork and perseverance.

Baljeet Singh Modi’s journey, from feeding a lone dog outside his house to spearheading community projects with a significant impact, is proof that compassion, when cultivated with commitment, can transform not just individuals but entire communities.

Suparsh Avasthi's life would be subtly shaped by the spark he initially experienced when he discovered basketball. He grew up in Lucknow and was always interested in sports, whether it was baseball, cricket, or athletics, but basketball was his favourite. He had a vision even as a student: to promote the game wherever he could and share this love with others. But life wasn't always easy. He committed himself to La Martiniere Girls’ College during his professional career at RDSO, visiting the school daily for forty years and providing young girls with patient, disciplined, and kind instruction. He never demanded payment or attention. Just his presence was a gift, a silent, unfailing declaration of his passion for the game and the kids he coached.

He was a man of contradictions: serious on the court but quick to laugh off errors, rigorous yet kind, and strict yet humorous. In addition to his talent and commitment, students remember him for inspiring confidence in them. His sister remembers the playful banter, the fleeting happiness, and the steadfast support that characterised him as a brother and a coach. Suparsh never faltered, even in the face of life's challenges. He might have further dominated the court with his height, but instead he succeeded by using strategy, tenacity, and pure willpower. He never pursued fame for himself; instead, he focused on the sport, the pupils, and the teaching and mentoring legacy.

There was an unfillable vacuum left by his unexpected demise in December 2016. However, it also inspired a memorial that would continue his legacy. In his commemoration, the Suparsh Avasthi Basketball Academy (SABA) was established, and the goal of having a top-notch basketball court at La Martiniere Girls' College was realised.

06/09/2025

Rishab starts off simply, "I've always loved animals," but beyond that is a journey moulded by empathy, hardship, and fortitude. As a child, his family took care of stray animals at their house, giving them food and water when they could. "I always found myself taking care of animals, especially puppies on the streets, wherever I lived," he adds. It appears that compassion is ingrained in him. Long before they were married, his mother and her sister operated a modest primary school where they taught kids for five rupees a month. For Rishab, helping others was a way of life, not just an act.

Everything changed after an incident occurred when his family relocated from Aishbagh to Triveni Nagar. Risabh frantically attempted to save a young puppy that had been bitten by another dog. He was new to the region and didn't know where to turn for assistance, so he reached out on Facebook and called every number he could find online. However, nobody showed up. He remembers, "I realised that day that I had to learn how to help animals if I wanted to do it myself." From then on, he engaged himself in learning – watching movies, reading guidelines, and working alongside individuals in animal care. He once worked in a veterinary hospital, initially doing sweeping work just to be among knowledgeable staff.

He gradually discovered mentors like Dr. Anil, who helped him when he was disoriented. His former sense of powerlessness served as fuel for him; each rescue served as a pledge to never allow another animal to suffer needlessly. Rishab went outside during the lockdown, when other people remained inside. He established The Stray Society, an outfit that enters containment zones when others do not in order to rescue, treat, and vaccinate animals. Despite occasional opposition, including reprimands from authorities, he and his group never gave up.
