Gratitude Post | Lohagad Fort Declared UNESCO World Heritage Site!
A heartfelt Thank You to everyone who walked with us on the SAMPARC Heritage Walk journey since 2016!
We are delighted to announce that Lohagad Fort, deeply associated with the valor and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has been officially inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. What began as a dream has now become a historic reality!
This achievement is a collective victory — made possible by the incredible support of our participants, committee members, corporate partners, individual well-wishers, village communities of Maval and Pune, conservation groups, local leaders, the police, cultural teams, media, SAMPARC trustees and staff, and most importantly, each and every one of you who stood by us in this remarkable movement.
