We recently wrapped up a Stakeholder Convergence Meeting for our HAELP project (Horti-Aqua and Eri Rearing: Livelihood Prosperity) in Chaygaon, Kamrup Rural, backed by the Sir Ratan Tata Trust.
The goal was simple to get the right people in the same room to build real, lasting support for our local farmers. We had a great turnout with officials from Agriculture, Sericulture, Fisheries, the Spices Board, ASRLM, and local CSOs like Grameen Sahara joining us. Instead of just speeches, we spent time doing direct, one on one sessions with farmers to listen to their day to day ground challenges and figure out practical ways to connect them with government schemes.
We also took a moment to celebrate our lead farmers who are out there actively testing and driving sustainable practices in their communities.
With HAELP, we’re working to help 2,045 households boost their annual income by ₹30,000 through horticulture, aquaculture, and sericulture.
