LSACF SITE VISIT UPDATE
Date: 04-09/02/2026
Location: Likabali/Siji Lower Siang District(AP).
In continuation of its earlier reviews, the Lower Siang Anti-Corruption Forum (LSACF) team recently carried out visits to multiple project sites across the district to assess progress and quality of work under ongoing developmental initiatives.
As part of the review, the team revisited the Aalo–Likabali NH to Malinithan Link Road project. It is encouraging to note that the major portion of this project has now been completed. The rectification works, including drainage and allied components, have been executed satisfactorily upto an extent. LSACF will continue its vigilance to ensure that the remaining works, if any, meet the required standards and are completed without delay.
The team also inspected the Likabali Market road under the BRTF & HQ CE Project Brahmank (GREF). At present, short-term patching work is still underway to provide immediate relief to the public. The proposed Double Lanning Road Project, with decorated dividers and proper drainage on both sides, continues to be actively pursued by social activists and stakeholders. The concerned authorities have assured that efforts are being made to bring this project into ex*****on, and LSACF will keep monitoring developments closely.
In addition, LSACF visited the ongoing project of the Public Health Engineering & Water Supply Department titled “Providing Emergent Water Supply at Siji Permanent District Headquarters, Lower Siang”. During the visit, the team inspected the headwork area, interacted with the contractor, and verified the quality of the materials being used for construction and progress on site. The project is nearing completion, and the overall status of work was found to be satisfactory.
All three projects remain under continuous vigilance of the Forum to ensure transparency, quality workmanship, and timely completion. In the second phase of these visits, the forum shall take stock of all the developmental works being undertaken at PHQ, Siji.
LSACF remains committed to volunteering its role in building a stronger and better Lower Siang District through constructive engagement and consistent monitoring.
