Adarsh Mahila Griha Udyog - AMGU AMGU was established in 1976 with the objective of making women self-reliant. Most of our work is done at the grass-roots level in 152 villages in Latur.

- Focuses on raising awareness of gender inequality through presenting a satirical musical play " MULGI ZALI HO ( A GIRL IS BORN ) " A unique presentation of the play as One Woman Show by Chandrakala Bhargaw president of AMGU.
- Trains women on laws regarding rights of women, illegal trafficking of girls, and domestic violence
- Creation of 80+ ‘Vermi-compost’ pits
-Natural Farming :- Training & Support to 1725 farmers from Latur and Udgir block for Padmshri Subhash Palekar’s Zero Budget Natural And Spiritual Farming.Out of them 899 are women farmers ,out of them 183 are widows ,24 are deserted and other are needy small land holders.
-Results:-Inspiring & Motivating,Double yield,Poison free & nutritious food ,Less expensive,more and more farmers adopting it.
-Kitchen Garden done by women of 650 SHGs run by AMGU to improve health of women and family .Planted 520000+trees in 12 villages of Latur and Udgir block.
-Supported for fodder for animals to 361 farmers. Worked in drought-prone area to support them by giving water tanks,for drinking ,for animals ,fodder cutter etc
-AMGU runs 650+ SHGs of women in Latur & Udgir block to make them economically self reliant ,socially and legally aware .
-100 % repayment of loan of Rs. 9,78,99,000/- by the SHG women , NO DEFAULTS AT ALL !
-Intensively worked in 20 villages for Dowry prohibition .20 Grampanchayats in Gramsabha took decision of not to take and give dowry .AMGU organized 49 marriages without taking and giving dowry .
-AMGU runs Sadbhavana Family Counseling center to solving the problems of victims of violence against women .3197 cases are ragistered 50% of them solved ,other are in court.
-Gives different vocational trainings to women . AMGU works for adolescents for awareness of their adult life ,reached 29654 adolescents . Raising awareness about gender equality and different women’s laws -.NGO presented satirical musical play “Mulgi Zali Ho “ for social awareness .Prof.Chandrakala Bhargaw has performed 150 shows of the play with groups.
-Unique feature is that she presented 42 programmes as one woman show in USA and India.

- gaves training of Padmshri Subhash Palekar's Zero Budget Natural and Spiritual Farming to 300 small landholder farmers 83% women farmers from Latur and Udgir taluka.Dist.Latur.Farmers were supported 1 Kg Moog and 1 Kg Udid and 3 kinds of fruits tree for plantation .The result of ZBNF is very encouraging.Farmers received almost the double yield compared to the farmers who used chemical fertilizers and pesticides.ZBNF farmers produced poison free nutritious vegetables and foods without using chemical fertilizer and pesticides with minimum expenditure.

-This year Drought Relief and Support programme is implemented in 58 villages of Udgir Taluka.It prepared job-cards for needy labourors, fills 4 A forms, and makes all efforts to give work to them by government under MNREGS scheme.The work of well-digging, Nala-Bandi, preparing roads, etc is given to 2342 labourors. Government gives equal wages to men and women. AMGU distributed fodder to 40 animals of 40 SHG women.86 families were distributed grains and food in emergency.they were informed of these flag ship programmeefforts were mademade for job card & 9096 from 33 villages got job cards.

- From 1st March 2019 Adarsh Mahila Griha Udyog Latur started A senior citizens Kitchen with the help of Caring Friends Mumbai at Mahmdapur and Bhadi . There are 15 beneficiaries for the senior citizens kitchen. Beneficiaries are happy for this help to them.
