This is the mission to turn around perception of society towards persons with disability by transforming them from meager recipient to valued contributors to the society and economy. SWADHAR has emerged as an alternate and innovative model of rehabilitation especially for the rural visually challenged persons. Under the Swadhar rehabilitation process comprehensive rehabilitation support is given which starts with employable vocational training followed by stable employment opportunity in common production centers and social rehabilitation support like facilitating marriage, housing to ensure the person attains rehabilitation goal in true sense. SWADHAR endorses dual approach it engages institutional rehabilitation services and also facilitates community based rehabilitation process as per the needs of person with disability.
