Model United Nations (also Model UN or MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda.

• Model United Nations is probably the most popular extracurricular activity in Universities and Schools all across the Globe.

• A Model UN is a simulation of the actual UN.


• Students represent countries in different committees of the UN like the General Assembly, the Security Council.

• They debate, negotiate and come up with solutions to solve the pressing issues and problems that the world is facing. This activity makes them come face to face with geo-political issues.

• Helps immensely in their personality building.

• It teaches the delegates, for once, to look beyond ‘I, me, myself’ and fight for the greater good of humanity. Any student pursuing any course can be a part of the competition. It will be a two day event to be hosted on 1-2 february,2014 in the college premises.
