As the Kurseong Association for Tourism and Conservation (KAFTAC), we are proud to have played a pivotal role throughout the event - working hand in hand with the administration, local bodies, and the community to ensure its grand success.
Whatever responsibilities were entrusted to us, we left no stone unturned in fulfilling them with utmost dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Our collective efforts truly reflected the spirit of community participation and our commitment towards promoting tourism and conservation in Kurseong.

A special note of thanks to the Sdo Kurseong SDO, Kurseong D F O Kurseong Kurseong Winter Run S and GTA Sabhasad Shri Sherpa for their continuous guidance, encouragement, and cooperation in making this event a memorable success. Without their valuable support, this event would not have been possible.

Today, on 1st November 2025, KAFTAC members actively participated in the historical event, the DHR Shatabdi March, commemorating 100 years of Mahatma Gandhi’s visit to Darjeeling.
The program included a march from Kurseong Railway Station to Zero Point, followed by plucking activities.
It was an honour to be invited by DHR to take part in such a remarkable event. Thank you, DHR.

Due to unfavourable weather conditions, our scheduled march from Kurseong Railway Station to Mahanadi had to be shortened and concluded at Zero Point.

KURSEONG HERITAGE WALK... 2025
Kurseong – Where Every Corner Whispers a Story

Kurseong is not just a place to pause for a cup of tea—it's a timeless tale waiting to be discovered. Nestled in the lap of the Eastern Himalayas, this quaint hill town holds within its misty air the echoes of the past and the heartbeat of diverse cultures.

From the rhythmic chug of the legendary toy train, a proud legacy of the British colonial era, to the soulful verses of revered Nepali poets, Kurseong is a living museum of memories. Wander through the historic Kurseong Railway Station, stroll past the poetic trails, listen to the legacy of the All India Radio tower that once echoed through the hills, and pay homage at the solemn British Cemetery that guards stories oo another age.

Kurseong doesn’t just share its sights—it touches your soul. Welcome to a journey through time, heritage, and heart.
