Drug Awareness Session at District-Level Tritiya Sopan Testing Camp
Today, a special awareness and interactive session on drug abuse prevention was conducted for 201 Scouts & Guides during the District-Level Tritiya Sopan Testing Camp at PM Shri Govt. Senior Secondary School, Haripur.
Instead of a traditional lecture, the session focused on an open and casual conversation with the children around peer pressure, wrong company, reasons behind substance use, its consequences, and ways to stay away from drugs.
The discussion also highlighted that awareness alone is not enough. Building self-confidence, positive thinking, healthy friendships and the ability to make the right decisions is equally important.
The values of Scouting—discipline, service, responsibility and leadership—were connected with the larger goal of building a healthier and drug-free society.
The session was conducted by Beeju Himdal, Director, Team Sehbhagita, as part of the spirit of “Saajh – Awareness with Purpose.”
Grateful to the Bharat Scouts & Guides, District Kullu, especially State Training Commissioner (Scout) Shri Manohar Lal Thakur ji, and the entire camp team for the opportunity and support.
Together for a Drug-Free Society.
