The Noble Helping Hands NGO Kulgam organized a recreational and awareness program for inmates at District Jail Anantnag on 16 May 2026. The event was conducted with the aim of promoting positivity, mental wellbeing, discipline, and constructive engagement among inmates through sports and educational activities.

The program was held under the chairmanship of Mutahir Khanday. The Superintendent District Jail Anantnag, along with other jail officials and staff members, remained present during the event and appreciated the initiative taken for inmate welfare and rehabilitation.

Several activities were organized during the program including a Volleyball Tournament, Badminton Competition, and Quiz Competition. The inmates actively participated in all events with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The competitions created a positive atmosphere inside the jail premises and encouraged teamwork, confidence, discipline, and healthy interaction among inmates.

The quiz competition focused on general awareness, moral education, and social responsibility. Participants showed keen interest and actively responded during the session. The sports activities helped inmates engage in physical fitness and stress relief while promoting unity and cooperation.

At the conclusion of the event, trophies and appreciation prizes were presented to the winning inmates and participants in recognition of their performance, talent, and active participation. The trophy distribution ceremony was conducted in the presence of jail authorities and members of The Noble Helping Hands NGO Kulgam.

Speaking on the occasion, Mutahir Khanday emphasized the importance of rehabilitation, counselling, sports, and positive engagement in transforming lives. He stated that such programs help inmates develop confidence, motivation, and a sense of responsibility towards society. He further highlighted that every individual deserves encouragement and opportunities for personal growth and reform.

The Superintendent District Jail Anantnag appreciated the efforts of The Noble Helping Hands NGO Kulgam for organizing meaningful activities for inmates and expressed hope for more such welfare and awareness programs in the future.

The event concluded with a message of hope, reform, peace, and social reintegration for all inmates.

DLSA Kulgam and The Noble Helping Hands Organize Awareness Program on Transgender Rights

KULGAM – The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kulgam, in collaboration with The Noble Helping Hands, successfully organized a comprehensive awareness program today at the ADR Centre Kulgam. The initiative focused on the legal rights, dignity, and socio-economic empowerment of the transgender community.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Aijaz Ahmad Khan, District Principal and Sessions Judge, who attended as the Chief Guest. Syed Qayoom, Secretary DLSA Kulgam, was also present, alongside Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs), the Legal Aid Defense Counsel team, and representatives from The Noble Helping Hands.

During the session, Mr. Mutahir Khanday, Chairman of The Noble Helping Hands, addressed the gathering and engaged in a direct interaction with the participants to understand the grassroots challenges faced by the community.
To further support the attendees, the NGO distributed health and nutrition kits and provided meals to all transgender participants.

Key speakers emphasized the necessity of social inclusion and the legal frameworks available to protect the rights of marginalized genders.

The program concluded with a shared commitment from both DLSA Kulgam and The Noble Helping Hands to continue fostering inclusive support systems and advocating for the welfare of all community members.

PRESS RELEASE

The Noble Helping Hands NGO successfully organized a Free Dental Camp today at its Head Office in Bugam, Kulgam, in collaboration with Infinity Advanced Dental Clinic, Bugam.

The camp received a positive response from the local community. A total of 20 patients were provided free dental consultation and scaling services. In addition, two Root Canal Treatment procedures were also carried out for patients in need at minimal cost.

The initiative aimed to promote oral health awareness and provide accessible dental care to the public. The visiting dental team guided patients on maintaining proper oral hygiene and preventing dental issues.

The Noble Helping Hands expressed gratitude to the medical team for their dedicated service and to the community for their participation. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to continue such welfare programs for the benefit of society.
