International Islamophobia Conference Solidarity Youth Movement organizes International Islamophobia Conference on 16-18 December 2016 at University of Calicut in Kerala, India.

This International Islamophobia Conference aims to explore the present social climate riddled with the fear of Islam, which cater the interests of the people in power, under the guise of case studies as well as theoretical, conceptual and methodological reflections. From theological as well as sociological perspectives it aims to look at the ways of resisting such frightening mechanisms which serv

e as a smokescreen for the lobbying efforts of mainstream political culture by demonizing the Islamic Threat. Speakers will examine Islamophobia from multi-disciplinary and transnational perspectives, so as to bring a more holistic understanding of the phenomena and the forces acting to sharpen the on-going Otherization of Muslims.
