We are deeply saddened by the passing of *Shri Rameshan Paleri*, a visionary leader, compassionate guide, and cherished supporter of the Usha School of Athletics since its very inception.

As the Chairman of the Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS), he transformed the century-old workers’ cooperative into a globally recognised model of cooperative excellence. Under his stewardship, ULCCS earned international recognition, including being acknowledged as a model cooperative by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 2013 and becoming the only primary cooperative in India to gain membership in the International Co-operative Alliance in 2019. His commitment to inclusive, people-centred development strengthened Kerala’s cooperative movement and created a legacy that will endure for generations.

Shri Rameshan Paleri was also a steadfast pillar of support for the *Usha School of Athletics* from its very beginning. His encouragement, guidance, and unwavering belief in our mission made him much more than a well-wisher—he was a true mentor who inspired and supported our efforts to nurture young athletes and help them realise their potential.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, the ULCCS community, and everyone who mourns this great loss. His remarkable legacy will continue to inspire us for years to come.

May his soul rest in peace.

PSPB Delegation Visits Usha School of Athletics

The Usha School of Athletics was privileged to welcome a distinguished delegation from the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) on 13 July 2026.

The delegation included:

Shri Nishant Kumar – Committee Member, ONGC
Ms. Sabeena Chowdhary – Member Secretary, PSPB & Convener
Shri Sandeep Sarkaria – Joint Secretary, PSPB
Shri Lalit Kumar Watts – Advisor, PSPB

The officials were warmly received by our athletes and interacted with Mrs. P.T. Usha, President, Usha School of Athletics, Hon'ble Member of Parliament and President, Indian Olympic Association, Mr. P. Ajanachandran, General Secretary, along with the coaching and support staff.

During the visit, the delegation toured the campus, met the young athletes, reviewed the training programme and facilities, and held detailed discussions on athlete development and the continued partnership between PSPB and the Usha School of Athletics.

The visit reflects the shared commitment of PSPB and the Usha School of Athletics to nurturing India's next generation of sporting talent and creating opportunities for young athletes to excel on the national and international stage.
