India, especially has witnessed a sudden raise in students and professionals entering this new domain. Bio-medical engineering being a new territory, students find it quite difficult to get familiar with the subject. Professionals undergo intense training to keep up with the latest techno
logy. It’s only then that they realize what they are expected to know. Every bio-medical engineer has these set of questions in their mind. They are not aware of what exactly are they supposed to know, what is the required skill set that they should possess, what is the level of expertise they are meant to have, how should they make use of their education to improve their technical knowledge and so on. They also face a huge challenge of lack of resources. They are helpless in the sense that they are unmindful of what to learn, which book to learn from, whom to ask for help and where to seek experts who can help. At Association of Biomedical Engineers, we aim to bridge this gap between the highly trained professionals and the graduate students. This is an association for all the biomedical engineers, both students and professionals, biomedical companies, dealers, job seekers, job providers, medical device retailers, dealers and trainers. This is a student initiative run by biomedical engineering students who are currently pursuing higher studies or working at different places.
