عن أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ‏ مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ ذِبْحٌ يَذْبَحُهُ فَإِذَا أُهِلَّ هِلاَلُ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَلاَ يَأْخُذَنَّ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ وَلاَ مِنْ أَظْفَارِهِ شَيْئًا حَتَّى يُضَحِّيَ

ഉമ്മു സൽമയിൽ (റ) നിന്ന് നിവേദനം: നബി (സ) പറഞ്ഞു: ‘നിങ്ങളില്‍ ബലി അറുക്കാന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ദുൽഹജ്ജ് മാസത്തിന്റെ മാസപ്പിറവി കണ്ടതു മുതല്‍ ബലി അറുക്കുന്നതുവരെ തന്റെ നഖവും മുടിയും നീക്കം ചെയ്യാൻ പാടില്ല.

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية – رحمه الله – إن أيام عشر ذي الحجة أفضل من أيام العشر الأواخر من رمضان وليالي العشر من رمضان أفضل من ليالي العشر من ذي الحجة

ശൈഖുല്‍ ഇസ്‌ലാം ഇബ്നുതൈമിയ رحمه الله പറഞ്ഞു: ‘റമദാനിലെ അവസാനത്തെ പത്തിലെ പകലുകളെക്കാള്‍ ശ്രേഷ്ടകരമാണ് ദുല്‍ഹിജ്ജ മാസത്തിലെ ആദ്യ പത്ത് ദിവസത്തിലെ പകലുകള്‍. എന്നാല്‍ ദുല്‍ഹിജ്ജയിലെ ആദ്യ പത്തിലെ രാത്രികളേക്കാള്‍ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമാണ് റമദാനിലെ അവസാന പത്തിലെ രാത്രികള്‍’.
