Disaster Management Training

The Indian Red Cross Society, Kozhikode District, organized a Disaster Management Training programme at the Civil Station Hall, Kozhikode. The training programme was inaugurated by Mrs. P. P. Shalini, Deputy Collector (Disaster Management).

Red Cross Completes Nationwide Awareness Campaign

Kozhikode: The Indian Red Cross Society, Kerala State has successfully completed its All India Road Safety and Healthy Internet Use Awareness Campaign, covering an impressive 9,200 kilometres across 16 states in 21 days.

Marking a significant milestone in the campaign, the Red Cross flag was hoisted at Umling La Pass in Ladakh, the world's highest motorable road, situated at an altitude of 19,024 feet, by Madancheri Sathyanathan, Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, Kozhikode District.

The awareness expedition was flagged off by Mr. Snehil Kumar Singh, District Collector of Kozhikode. The campaign aimed to promote road safety awareness and encourage the healthy and responsible use of the internet among the public.

The expedition team was led by Mr. Bijith R. C. Team members included Mr. Deepu K., Dr. Sandheesh P. T., Mr. Midhun Mohan C., Mr. Dheeraj K., Mr. Harikrishnan Pariyarath, Mr. Faisal P., and Mr. Jinesh Thekkummal.

The Red Cross Day programmes in Kozhikode were inaugurated by former Goa Governor P. S. Sreedharan Pillai at K. P. Kesava Menon Hall.

He also inaugurated the Mental Health and Psychological Support Team formed by the Red Cross Kozhikode district branch. District Medical Officer Dr. Rajaram Kizhakkekandiyil attended the function as the chief guest.

Former Kozhikode District Red Cross Chairman Adv. M. Rajan was honoured at the ceremony.

Awards and certificates were distributed to Red Cross volunteers, and membership certificates and identity cards were presented to new members.
