I sincerely offer my namaskaras and best wishes to you and your inmates on the auspicious occasion of Sri Ramakrishna Kalpataru.

On this sacred day—January 1, 1886—Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna truly became a Kalpataru for His devotees. In the presence of the devotees, He declared that not only those present there, but also those who would come under the banner of spirituality in the future, would receive His supreme blessings. Bestowing His grace, He said, “May your soul be illumined.” Therefore, Sri Ramakrishna was not only the Kalpataru on that historic day; He remains the ever-living Kalpataru for His earnest devotees at all times.

On Thursday, January 1, 2026, we observed and celebrated the Sri Ramakrishna Kalpataru Utsav at our Ashrama in the evening. The programme began with Vedic prayers, followed by meditation and insightful speeches.

Swami Narasimhanandaji and Swami Avataranandaji of Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Kozhikode, spoke eloquently on the significance of Sri Ramakrishna Kalpataru.

At the end of the programme, snacks prasadam was distributed to around 130 devotees.

Today (1st November 2025) Kerala Day natively known as 'Kerala Piravi' is marks the birth of the state of Kerala in southern India. The state of Kerala was created on 1 November 1956, long after the Independence of India. In this connection I am delighted to inform you of a small service we were able to undertake. There is a very poor lady who is severely physically handicapped residing in the uphill area of Koyilandy, Kozhikode district. She is unable to walk from one place to another. Observing her severe plight, we decided to help. We purchased a very sturdy walker and delivered it to her home on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Respected Devotee of Sri Ramakrishna,

I sincerely offer my namaskars to you and your family on this very auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami.

At present, we are three inmates at Ramakrishna Math, Koyilandy — two Brahmacharins and myself. During the days on 28th september to 2nd October 2025 of the festival, we worshipped Mother Durga in a simple manner, offering pūjā to Her photo. We performed a special pūjā and puṣpāñjali on Ashtami day with the participation of a few devotees.

As is the custom of Kerala culture, we also celebrated Vijaya Dashami (Vidyarambha) with the worship of Mother Saraswati. Following the conclusion of the pūjā, we arranged Nārāyaṇa-sevā with sumptuous food for about 100 participants.

On this holy occasion of Vijaya Dashami, we, the inmates of Koyilandy Math, earnestly pray that you and all members of your family may have the profuse blessings of Mother Durga for lifelong peace and spiritual well-being.
