Fulfilling the dream of a retired professor (C M S College, Kottayam) to continue his social projects under the auspices of a formally registered Charitable Trust, ARDHRATHA FELLOWSHIP was registered on 18th March 2002 in the Sub Registrar's office, Kottayam with Reg. Since March 2002 the Trust spent about Rs 50 lakhs mainly for the education of about 1300 children, medical assistance and hou

sing. Beneficiaries are selected from families in abject poverty (those below the poverty line). The scholarship amount for post Plus Two education is Rs.500/- to Rs.1000/- per month, depending on the course of study. Thus the amount for sponsoring a student is Rs.6000/- to Rs. 12000/- per year. The base fund is the pension amount of the Managing Trustee, spared for this purpose. Substantial support is given by his wife and children. What matters most and what is more valuable is the helping hand kindly and generously given by friends and well wishers of Ardhratha Fellowship in the form of donations and other forms of help which are very valuable for the Trust. Further expansion of this category of members in the Fellowship is essential to support and uplift more and more poor and needy brethren of ours to welfare and happiness from their present state of poverty, misery and suffering.
