Somedays, I wish I'd never entered animal welfare and had settled for an easier life.
But then Mission Paws was born from my grief, without it, that grief would have claimed me long ago.

It is a privilege to be around animals who love you to the extent of sacrifice, just because you helped them once, years ago.
This kind of love cannot be told but only experienced.

When two days back this little dog was reported to us, he looked moments away from death with a grotesquely swollen head. I couldn't refuse, got him admitted - today he kept wagging his tail.
This is the difference you make.

We raised $600 and paid bills partly.
Just 40K ($400) more will help us pay salaries of caregivers who bathe, feed, medicate, comfort and play with rescues every single day.

If you run a company, or know someone who does, you can support construction of our shelter through CSR and get a name engraved.
We need 1.3 lakh ($1300) to clear urgent dues.

I might have to shut down our seven year old charity due to lack of support,
BUT I'm going to use all of my strength to keep it running - even if that means bugging you with multiple appeals.

This is the only active charity of our city, the only one with a hospice and rehabilitation unit. Do what you can, and be fierce with it.
The animals need us, but if I'm being honest, we need them even more.

You wouldn't believe me if I'd tell you how difficult it is to run an animal welfare charity alone, in a small silent town that people doesn't even know about.

Most days I wonder why I started Mission Paws and whether it is worth all the desperation? It's not that I ever planned to open a charity but as nobody helped, I had to do something or I'd have lost my conscience.

At this point, I have tried everything that I could but my posts aren't reaching many people and the ones connected already have stopped replying.
I don't blame them, or you.

Animal welfare is a draining field, if I could, I would never see videos of a bleeding animal myself. Unfortunately, I don't have that choice.
So while I was at it, I kept the hospital bills paid.

When we purchased the land and received CSR, I believed we'd never have to worry about funds again. We are a small charity and need only so little to survive. I was wrong to believe.

As of today, we don't have sufficient to pay salaries of caregivers or to clear dues of food vendors. We couldn't pay for the electricity or water connection at the shelter, and construction has again stopped.

The only way out of this is to raise funds.
We are nearly 1 lakh ($1000) short to pay salaries, afford food and treatment of our resident rescues.
We need nearly 1.5 lakh ($1500) to clear construction dues, as we installed electricity and water connection.

We can survive if we paid these bills but to run an active animal welfare charity, consistent support is a must. So unless we find monthly or CSR donors, we will always end up at a point of exhaustion.

Can we save Mission Paws? Honestly, I don't know.

MOON IS NOT GETTING HELP🚨

This sweet girl was spotted at midnight with a massive open tumour, pus dripping from her ears and eyes that wouldn't open. She smelled terribly bad due to being covered in wounds as insects ate her alive.
Locals thought she had passed away😟

As we went to rescue her, we were stopped by a man who mentioned that Moon had been in this state since weeks - and we should let her die on streets, for she is, as he quote 'a worthless old-smelly street dog!'
She was rescued and admitted at the hospital CCU and is showing great improvement ever since🥹

Moon has severe infections due to neglect, she has no teeth and cries when spoken to. The main concern is her tumour which might need surgery - they've started her on IV fluids, antibiotics & tests BUT we don't have sufficient to continue her treatment😭

PER DAY CHARGES ARE ₹1500 | $16 ONLY!

LAIKA DOESN'T UNDERSTAND💔

This sweet baby was very kindly surrendered to us by her loving family as she kept falling sick and despite consistent vet visits, there were no diagnosis or improvements. She used to sleep on bed, play with toddlers and eat meals with humans😔

When Laika came to us, she'd hide and wag her tail. Her initial tests showed minor infection and everything else looked normal. Some days she would get ulcers, some days she would stop eating but as she pooped blood - everything had to be tested again😟

After multiple checkups, she was diagnosed with severe Pyometra - a life threatening infection of uterus whose only treatment is a major and immediate surgery.
We've been managing her care alone for weeks but cannot get her operated without your help!😭

We need to pay the vendor otherwise his milk supply would be stopped on monday.

Molly is a working pony rescued with a broken displaced limb from the streets. She is eighteen years old and needs supplemented horse diet to maintain walking strength🤍
Her food lasts us two months and we have only one bag left. She neighs for it every day!
