Patchwork Bags for a Dialogue on Human Settlements & Environment ✨
For the programme hosted by SPA–EIACP PC RP, School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, we had the opportunity to create patchwork bags designed for a space that reflects on how we build, live, and impact our environment.
The idea was simple —
to create something that stays useful, thoughtful, and aligned with the values of the conversation itself. 🌿
Each bag was crafted using patchwork — bringing together smaller fabric pieces to create something stronger, more purposeful, and less wasteful.
Through this process, what could have been discarded becomes something functional and lasting.
The making of these bags — from sorting fabrics to stitching each panel — is as important as the final piece itself.
Because sustainability is not just in the outcome, but in how something is made.
These bags were designed to move beyond the event —
to be reused, carried, and lived with.
A quiet reminder of the dialogue they were part of.
For institutional spaces, these details matter.
What people take back often becomes the memory they carry forward.

Sustainable Event Kits & Thoughtful Mementos for a Policy Dialogue
For the Urban Water Management Programme organised by AMRUT Mission, we had the opportunity to create event materials for The Embassy of Israel and ICCW.
The brief had two clear asks:
1️⃣ A sustainable kit for attendees
2️⃣ A meaningful reminder from the meeting—something participants would keep and use beyond the event.
For the attendee kits, we crafted reusable bags, designed to be practical and long-lasting—ensuring the materials distributed at the programme wouldn’t become immediate waste.
For the second ask, we created small versatile frames.
These pieces were designed intentionally to serve multiple purposes:
as mini artworks reflecting the theme of sustainable water management
as coasters for everyday use
or simply as a keepsake from the dialogue
A small object, but one that quietly carries the message of responsible water use and a better future.
Each piece was delicately wrapped in cotton-textured fabric and placed in upcycled packaging, keeping the entire experience aligned with the values of sustainability.
For policy dialogues, conferences, and institutional gatherings, these small choices matter.
The items people carry back from a meeting often become the lasting memory of the conversation itself.

Sustainable Event Kits for a Policy Dialogue

Albeli had the opportunity to create for the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Rajasthan, for their Pre-Budget Discussion with industry leaders, trade representatives, and tax advisors.
A small detail we’re proud of — this is the second year we’ve been trusted to craft for this event, which also marks two years of this important dialogue platform.
For the meeting, we designed sustainable, story-led kits—thoughtfully crafted to be useful beyond the event itself. Each piece was created with care by Albeli women artisans, ensuring the materials carried both purpose and meaning.
For us, repeat collaborations like this mean a lot.
They show that sustainability, thoughtful design, and trust can go hand in hand.

2025, thank you for everything you were.

You weren’t easy.
You brought us new beginnings, new faces who became family,
and moments that made us feel proud in ways we hadn’t felt before.

But you also brought doubt.
Tired days.
Days when things didn’t work, when we felt stuck,
when holding on felt harder than letting go.

Still, we stayed.
We showed up — for the work, for each other,
and because of everyone who stood by अलबेली
with quiet faith and endless encouragement.

This year reminded us that building something of your own
isn’t about always getting it right.
It’s about choosing to keep going,
even when the path feels unclear.

We didn’t make it through 2025 alone.
