विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस एक वार्षिक कार्यक्रम है, जो हर साल 11 जुलाई को मनाया जाता है, जो वैश्विक जनसंख्या मुद्दों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने का प्रयास करता है। इस आयोजन की स्थापना 1989 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास कार्यक्रम की संचालन परिषद द्वारा की गई थी। यह 11 जुलाई 1987 को पांच अरब दिवस में जनहित से प्रेरित था, जिस तारीख को दुनिया की आबादी पांच अरब लोगों तक पहुंच गई थी। विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस का उद्देश्य विभिन्न जनसंख्या मुद्दों जैसे परिवार नियोजन, लैंगिक समानता, गरीबी, मातृ स्वास्थ्य और मानवाधिकारों के महत्व पर लोगों की जागरूकता बढ़ाना है।
