Proud Moment for Anchal Angels - Lion Resmi Wins Best Actress Award 🎉

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievement of our member, Lion Resmi, who has been honored with the Best Actress Award at the 16th Media City Filmfare Award Festival 2026, held in Trivandrum on May 21.

She received this prestigious recognition for her outstanding performance in the short film “Pazhanjan Moham.” The award was presented by renowned film actor Karamana Sudheer and Dr. Velayudhan.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to her talent, dedication, and passion for the arts. Your Anchal Angels family is truly proud of you, Lion Resmi! 👏✨

Anchal Angels at the 22nd Annual District Convention 318A - Synergy 2026

On May 3, members of Anchal Angels proudly participated in the 22nd Annual District Convention of District 318A – Synergy 2026, held at IZYAN Sports City & Convention Centre, Parippally. The convention was led by District Governor PMJF Lion Jain C Job.

The event was graced by Chief Guest PMJF Lion S. Magesh and Guest of Honour PMJF Lion Er. R. Murugan. Distinguished dignitaries including PMJF Lion Er. V. Anil Kumar, PMJF Lion Adv. R. V. Biju, and PMJF Lion Rajan N. Namboothiri were also present.

Our club had an excellent presence, and members thoroughly enjoyed the convention, making it a memorable and engaging experience filled with learning, fellowship, and Lions spirit.

Zone Social & Family Meeting for the month of May

On May 17, the members of Anchal Angels, along with Zone Chairperson Lion Dr. Pushpaletha, successfully organised the Zone Social and Family Meeting for the month of May.

This special gathering brought together four clubs in the zone, fostering unity, fellowship, and collaboration. The clubs that joined Anchal Angels for the evening were Anchal Empire, Ayoor Lions Club, and Chadayamangalam Jatayu, making it a vibrant and engaging inter-club meet.

We were honored to have Mr. C. Ajayaprasad (MLA) as the Chief Guest for the event. The occasion was further graced by the presence of distinguished guests Lion Adv. G. Surendran (Past District Governor) and Lion Gulab Khan K (Region Chairperson).

The evening was filled with warmth, meaningful interactions, and a strong sense of Lions fellowship, making it a memorable gathering for all attendees.

Walkathon for a Greener Tomorrow

On April 26th, members of Anchal Angels actively participated in an Environment Walkathon organized by the Lions District for Regions 5 & 6. The program included an insightful seminar and a farm visit to the KG Mathai Memorial Center for Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Living, Anchal.

An engaging session was led by Dr. Joseph Mathai, where participants learned about biodiversity conservation and sustainable living practices. The event was flagged off by Chief Guest Divya S, Range Forest Officer, Anchal, and presided over by Lion Er. Aneesh K Aylara.

The walkathon served as a meaningful reminder of our collective responsibility toward the environment. Together for a greener tomorrow—every step counts, and every action matters.

Beautifying Our Community with Care 🌿

On April 23, Anchal Angels members came together to take part in a meaningful community service initiative as part of Lions Environment Week 🌍. The activity focused on the beautification and cleanliness of the area near Panayamcherry Kalari Temple, a serene spot by the pond where families often gather and spend quality time.

Our team actively cleaned the surroundings 🧹 and planted saplings 🌱, helping restore the natural charm of this public space. This initiative reflects our strong commitment to creating cleaner, greener, and more welcoming environments for the community 💚.

Together, small efforts lead to big changes—nurturing nature and preserving spaces for future generations 🌏✨.

Serving with Love: Annadanam by Anchal Angels

On April 10th, Anchal Angels proudly carried out the noble community service of Annadanam. A generous contribution, sponsored by Lion Sabeena Nair, was handed over to Alayamon Sree Alappan Temple in support of this meaningful initiative.

The day was marked by service, compassion, and togetherness as food was distributed to all who visited the temple.

Thanks to Lion Sabeena Nair for giving Anchal Angels the opportunity to be part of this beautiful initiative. Despite the heat, it was a truly fulfilling and memorable experience.

Sincere gratitude to all our Angels who took the time and effort to be present and contribute to the success of this initiative. Together, we continue to serve with love and purpose. 🙏✨

🌟 District Governor’s Official Visit - A Celebration of Women, Leadership & Service🌟

On March 29, Anchal Angels proudly hosted the Official Visit of the District Governor at Yeroor Narasimha Auditorium, marking an evening filled with grace, unity, and impactful service.

Led by President Lion Sreeja Jayamohan, the program was inaugurated by District Governor Lion Jain C. Job with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The event began on a vibrant note with a beautiful dance performance by Lion Reshmi P.M. and Lion Beena Sodaran.

The Secretary’s Report presented by Lion Asha Chandrababu highlighted the club’s meaningful initiatives and strong dedication to service. In his address, the District Governor appreciated the remarkable achievements of the club and honored the contributions of its members.

The occasion was further enriched by the presence and inspiring words of distinguished dignitaries, along with the gracious presence of the First Lady of the District, Lion Shuja Jain.

The evening also featured delightful entertainment, including a kavitha by Resmi Raj and songs by Ambilimol and Greeshma Rajesh, adding warmth and joy to the celebration.

Heartfelt thanks to Lion Shaija Shajahan for the vote of thanks, and special appreciation to the hosts of the evening - Shuba, Maya, Reshmi, and Ambilimol - for making the event truly memorable.

👓 Bringing Clear Vision to Young Minds | Sight For Kids Project Completed

On March 17, Anchal Angels successfully completed the “Sight For Kids” project by distributing 28 spectacles to identified students at Anchal West Government Higher Secondary School.

The spectacles were handed over by Al Hiba Vision Hospital to our team, which were distributed to the children, in the presence of the school’s Headmistress, Kaladevi Mam.

A heartfelt thanks to Lion Asha Chandrababu, Lion Shaija Shajahan, and Lion Shima Vijayakumar for a service well done.

This initiative reflects our continued commitment to supporting the health and well-being of children in our community.

Musical Therapy Session at Buds School

On March 10th, Lion Dr Pushpaletha, Zone Chairperson and member of Anchal Angels, visited the Buds School at Sisuvihar of Alayaman Grama Panchayath and conducted a special musical therapy session for the students.

Around 20 differently-abled children participated in the session, where music was used as a joyful and engaging way to help them relax, express themselves, and connect with others. Through songs, rhythm, and interactive activities, the children actively took part and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The session created a warm and cheerful atmosphere, bringing smiles and positive energy to the students. Such initiatives highlight the importance of using creative methods like music to support the emotional and developmental well-being of differently-abled children.
