Best Friendz Society is a govt registered voluntary NGO located in Kolkata, West Bengal .The ngo has been effectively working for the children and women belonging to poor and marginalised communities since its inception in 2008 . Founded by Mr.Rajiv Lodha & Ms Shagufta Hanaphie with the mission of building a great nation by eradicating poverty and ignorance which are the main problems that pose a

great threat to the upliftment of the country. Best Friendz focus on assisting and helping all the children and women to cater the needs of basic education of which they are deprived because of their background or social restrictions. Best Friendz also seeks to learn the specific needs of the children who are in danger of not being able to reach their educational goals and to find ways to assist them to overcome those barriers. Since its inception, BEST FRIENDZ has been focusing on Education, Menstrual Awareness, Women Empowerment and Livelihood creation in West Bengal of India. Our overall goal is the empowerment of children and women from poor and less privileged communities, thereby improving their lives and livelihoods. Best Friendz Society connects homes, shelters , volunteers and work together with Partners and Local Communities for Women and children empowerement through education and skill development. A team of young and dynamic entrepreneurs , school and college goers , educationist came to work under our ngo Best Friendz banner and to carry on various Philantrophy and social work together in form of a virtual Club . The club has like minded peole more than 50 of them together working to bring the change and help Bengal grow as a whole . From advocacy programs to awareness camps , from relief programs to education projects our club at Best Friendz has been successful in organizing each projects .
2023-2025 Seema Bahri has been elected as the Club Chairperson. Our Motto - Empower & Educate the less privileged. We organize events for street children, such as Educational Tour, Picnics, Sport Competitions, Festival Celebration, Drawing Competition and Cloth distribution etc. We fight for the right of Child education. The children and their families are offered support and free education. Our Projects -:

13th May - From Best Friendz Society Chairperson Shagufta Hanaphie & Goodwill Ambassador to our ngo Mahtab Jabeen initiated a drive to distribute and help 70 people revive thier lives who rendered homeless in a recent fire in Santoshpur railway line in Maheshtala .
Each of the member were provided with a complete set of utensils along with a month’s ration to help bring their lives back on track .

We still are looking forward towards collecting more utencils , beddings, cookware , buckets , mosquito nets , copies for children, Tarpaulins clothes dry rations etc .

My sincere gratitude to West Bengal Hotels & Restaurants Council of WICCI headed by Prity Poddar for her contribution of Rice and Dal .

We are collecting old and new things . You can donate whatever possible. 100's still waiting for the help . Thousands of houses are shattered.

11th May- Nutritious Dry Ration Packs for 25 Mothers, and Mothers to be an initiative by Best Friendz Society this mothers day at the Khidderpore Activity Zone.
Our Monthly Ration Kit Campaign usually provides dry ration kit donations to families facing economic hardship. By addressing their immediate needs, we help them focus on a brighter future for themselves and their children. But this time it was Mothers day hence the celebration was special . What we believed is through this campaign of ours no Mothers should go hungry to bed .

3rd May - Kolkata- Santoshpur - We from Best Friendz Society took the initiative to distribute dry rations to houses where the fire engulfed some shanties located beside Akra Santoshpur railway station on the Sealdah-Budge Budge railway line of Eastern Railway today . This is what we saw . The slums are turned into piles of ashes , heaps of burnt clothes everywhere , houses full of columns of black smoke blanketing the surroundings.

Our campaign is on One step at a time .Hundreds of houses burnt into ashes . Hence when i paid a personal visit today . Each house was given 5kg Rice , 2kg Dal , saree , muri , buscuits , sugar etc from us .

The govt and the locals are doing thier bit . As a citizen of Kolkata we pledge to take our responsibilities too . Adopted 25 household . From start to finish we are arranging everything for them . Few people here got burnt also while running from the fire .

We are thankful to our wellwishers Prity Poddar & her team West Bengal Hotels & Restaurants Council of WICCI to support us with Rice and Dal , Author & Social Worker Mahtab Jabeen to help us with Dry Rations , and few other welwishers ( name asked not to disclose) with sarees , lungis and children clothings etc .

Right now families here need more than just meals . They need basic essentials to start getting through each day .

We are currently in need of dry rations, sarees , lungis , gamchas or towel , soaps , detergents , utencils & buckets , mats and beddings , books , bags , Tarpaulins , torch , bedsheets, etc .

We from Best Friendz Society have been helping locals of this area through our means . We request all our wellwishers to join our initiatives. Let's together revive thier life .

Kolkata- A fire engulfed some shanties located beside Akra Santoshpur railway station on the Sealdah-Budge Budge railway line of Eastern Railway on last Saturday, affecting train services on the route.The blaze engulfed an old slum settlement spread across nearly 16 bighas. The visuals of the incident showed thick columns of black smoke blanketing the surroundings.
We from Best Friendz Society have been helping locals of this area through our means . We request our wellwishers to join in collecting the other goods and dry rations like rice , dal , oil , sugar , milk and few others .

We are also collecting old and new clothes , utencils , beddings etc .

15th April 2026 - On the auspicious day of Poila Boishakh love was spread through various activities organised by our ngo Best Friendz Society . From clothes distribution in Budge Budge , Household goods distribution in Khidderpore, Dilnasheen's wedding in Charial Budge Budge to " Pick up any thing u like " a project organised for the vulnerable and needy people we did it all .

The aim was to share the joy of this special occasion with those who usually don’t get to experience such happiness.

Women received sarees, petticoats, and blouses collected fom our drives . Men were given T-shirts , suits etc . Children picked up new books for the session .

The drive is on and will be carried out till mid may
Summers have come . So donate your old and used cotton sarees or kurtis or tshirs and shirts to us . We make sure of distributing to the right full people .

On behalf of my ngo a , heartfelt thanks to all those who had extended their support for this initiative.Your support and compassion inspire us.

Project - " Gift of Grace " - Red, yellow, green, blue & pink in silk, cotton , synthetic bundles of used sarees which have been carefully washed, sanitized and gift-wrapped to make their way to their second rightful owner via our ngo Best Friendz Society this poila baishakh .

Through this initiative we aim to successfully collect 2300 sarees from various drop-off points in Kolkata and distribute .

There are plenty of sarees we sometime don’t wear, repeat or find them out of fashion. On the other hand, there is a strata of society who can’t afford to buy new ones

We invite Philantropist, , fashionistas , Influencers, Proffessional from every field to come join us , volunteer for the cause and together make a bigger impact.

Schools & Institutions may connect with us for the saree drive .

Like every alternate year we organize these drives which help less privileged individuals

SHE Teacher's Excellence Award Inspiring Women Achievers Awards- IWAA Best Friendz Society

April - Best Friendz Society is one of the trusted ngo for supporting poor girls marriage . For last a decade we have been mainly provide wedding things to ease the families burden to get thier daughters wedded. Around 80 above marriages have been taken care by us . Specially for families who are poor , less privileged, handicapped and cannot afford ceremonies .

Keeping all this in mind, we at Best Friendz Society under our have aimed of helping the poor girls and support in their marriage as far as possible. We strongly believe that no girl on this planet should be treated as a burden by their parents just because of marriage expenses.

15th of April on the auspicious day of Poila Baisakh the nikah will take pkace followed by reception dinner in Budge Budge. We invite to support the wedding. Help us , so we together can make a difference in the life of the newly wedded.

This time we invite you to join us to help Dilnasheen ( a young girl in her twenties . This girl is a very living , down to earth , helpfull as well as cheerful . She is a young member of our ngo and gas heloed invarious campaigns and competitions arranged by us ) . Hopefully we can take care of her as she got the right partner for her . Best Friendz has stepped forward to arrange things and ease her families responsibilities as far as possible.

Special Treat - Arrranngement of a special dinner for 100 of less privileged as well .

Best Friendz Society this march had been running few small initiatives to spread happiness. Amongst them Ramdan Kit ( Dry ration distribution) , Mukh Mishti ( Distribution of cakes ) ,Dawate Iftar( an evening with less privileged children ) basanta utsav ( a colorful day with colours in Kanpur ) , Eid ( Distribution of Biryani to children ) were few .

Our initiatives were supported by all our wellwishers some new and few old ones too.

We will always remain greatfull to them to help ys help others 🙏

Places where we have our offices & activity zones like Kanpur, Budge Budge, Uluberia , Dum Dum ,nalpur , gabberia , Baruipur, Falta , Khidderpore, , mominpur, slums , orphanages , topsia are few to name where we have taken these initiatives.

No child is ever meant to eat from a dustbin. Yet hunger has a way of pushing innocence into corners no human heart should accept. When there is nothing to eat for three or four days, when the stomach burns and the body weakens, survival becomes desperation. In those moments, eating discarded food is not a choice, it is helplessness. This is the reality for many children living in slums, where hunger is not an occasional visitor but a constant companion.

So join Best Friendz Society this Eid and make it special for them . 250 slum children will be treated with thier favorite " Biryani " .

It is believed that every good deed done during this holy month brings double blessings from the Almighty. It reminds us to feel the pain of the hungry and to open our hearts to those who have less. But for slum children, Eid comes just as another day but together we can make it special for them .

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure that no child sleeps hungry. Through education and full-time meals, we have always tried to give these children something they are often denied, dignity and hope.
