F.E.T.S.U. General Body Meeting Resolution (15/05/2026)

1.After discussions on the new examination policy, it is clear that students are still unaware of the rules passed by the authorities in the EC. F.E.T.S.U. strongly opposes the imposition of new attendance rules and the year-lag policy during the 3rd year.
2.Due to scholarship-related problems, Salt Lake campus students often need to visit the Jadavpur campus even for simple tasks. The authorities should open a scholarship section or appoint a dedicated person to handle scholarship-related communication.Also Proper work on Scholarship Section in Jadavpur Campus so that Students can't face any kind of harassment in scholarship-related issues.
3.In response to these issues, the students of F.E.T.S.U. have called for a move on 20th May with the following agenda:
i.Attendance Policy
ii.Year-lag Policy
iii.Delay in result of 1.1
iv.Scholarship Issues

দেশজুড়ে সর্বভারতীয় NEET পরীক্ষার প্রশ্নপত্র ফাঁস এবং এর জেরে ৩ জন পরীক্ষার্থীর মর্মান্তিক আত্মহত্যা , এই রাজ্য সহ বিভিন্ন রাজ্যে SSC নিয়োগ সংক্রান্ত লাগামহীন দুর্নীতি প্রমাণ করে যে আমাদের সামগ্রিক শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা আজ সম্পূর্ণ ভেঙে পড়েছে | শিক্ষা আজ মেধার মূল্যায়ন ছেড়ে সরকারি মদতে অসাধু চক্রের লাভজনক মুনাফার ব্যবসায় পরিণত হয়েছে যেখানে শাসক ও প্রশাসনের প্রত্যক্ষ প্রশ্রয়ে দিনের পর দিন ছাত্রছাত্রীদের ভবিষ্যৎ নিয়ে ছিনিমিনি খেলছে অসাধু ব্যবসায়ীরা । একদিকে দুর্নীতির কলঙ্ক অন্যদিকে পুনরায় পরীক্ষা বা রি-নীট (Re-NEET) নিয়ে তৈরি হওয়া চরম অনিশ্চয়তা ও প্রশাসনিক টালবাহানা পরীক্ষার্থীদের জীবনকে তীব্র মানসিক চাপ উৎকণ্ঠা এবং হতাশার দিকে ঠেলে দিচ্ছে। অন্যের অপরাধের শাস্তি আজ শিক্ষার্থীদের ভোগ করতে হচ্ছে যা শুধুমাত্র আত্মহত্যা নয় বরং সরকার ও পরীক্ষা নিয়ামক সংস্থার (NTA) যৌথ মদতে করা ঠান্ডা মাথার প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক হত্যাকাণ্ড।
এই সামগ্রিক সংকটের মূলে রয়েছে শিক্ষার লাগামহীন বানিজ্যিকীকরণ । সরকারি শিক্ষা ও কর্মসংস্থানের পরিকাঠামোকে ধ্বংস করে গোটা ব্যবস্থাকে আজ কোচিং মাফিয়া ও কর্পোরেট পুঁজির হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হচ্ছে যেখানে মেধার চেয়ে টাকার জোর বড় হয়ে উঠেছে। অন্যের করা অপরাধের শাস্তি আজ সাধারণ শিক্ষার্থীদের জীবন দিয়ে মেটাতে হচ্ছে। আমরা F.E.T.S.U. র তরফ থেকে এই ভেঙে পড়া ও শিক্ষার্থী বিরোধী ব্যবস্থার তীব্র ধিক্কার জানাচ্ছি এবং অবিলম্বে এই গোটা দুর্নীতির সাথে যুক্ত অপরাধীদের দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির দাবি করছি |

F.E.T.S.U. General Body Meeting Resolution (11/05/2026)

1.The deadline decided for the declaration of the 1st year 1st semester (1.1) results is 20/05/2026. Also, according to the rules, if any later results are not published within 45 days of examination, the university administration must provide a formal clarification on the official Jadavpur University website.

2.The current delay in publishing the results is causing several difficulties for many. Students who depend on private scholarships are facing financial issues. Some Civil Engineering UG1 students are also encountering problems regarding their upcoming industrial tour.

3.A meeting between the university authorities and student representatives regarding the 1.1 semester results is scheduled for May 13, 2026. Three student representatives are chosen from the GB for that meeting

4.The previously submitted names for student representatives, were selected undemocratically without the process of a General Body meeting of the students. Therefore, they should immediately withdraw their names from participating in any official meetings regarding this issue.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR F.E.T. & F.I.S.L.M. STUDENTS

We, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Students' Union, have received 5 tickets for the KKR vs LSG match, scheduled for 9th April 2026 at 07:30 P. M. at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

As per tradition, these tickets will be distributed among students through a lottery system. Three tickets will be distributed at the Jadavpur Campus and Two tickets at the Saltlake Campus.

Distribution Details:

What identification documents are needed for voting?

A photo identity card such as - University ID card / Library card / Hostel boarder ID card. Additionally, university money receipt or government ID can be used as proof.

How will you vote?

The voter must put a tick mark (✓) next to the number/name of the candidate they wish to vote for with a blue ball point pen. If tick marks (✓) are placed in more than one place or outside the box, that ballot will be "cancelled" during counting.

After voting, the ballot must be folded and deposited into the box.
