Today, A Baal Bhoj (special breakfast) program was launched in association with Lyness Club of Calcutta at one of our boys' residential schools (Sri Shanti Niketan Vidyalaya), Hastings, Khidderpore. Children were very much enjoyed and were given thanks by the members of the Club.

Right Track, in association with United Religions Initiative (URI), organised a World Environment Day Observation Programme on 10 June 2026 at the campus of Government Girls’ General Degree College, Kolkata. The programme was designed to promote environmental awareness, biodiversity conservation, and active student participation in creating a sustainable and eco-friendly campus environment.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by the college Principal, Dr. Syeda Shariqatul Maula Alquadri, followed by an introduction to the significance of World Environment Day and the global need for biodiversity conservation before the inaugural speech of Mr. Md. Ashraf Ali of Right Track. Prof. Jayanti Saha, Asstt. Professor, Deptt. Of Botany, GGGDC, gave Bio note & introduction of guests respectively. Mr. Biswadeb Chakraborty, Regional Coordinator, URI, expressed his views and has detailed about the program & activities. Dr. Bhaswati Bhattacharyya, IQAC Coordinator & Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, GGGDC and Dr. Rajashree Dasgupta, Asstt. Professor & HOD, Department of Geography, GGGDC gave speech for the inspiration of the students.
A special awareness session was conducted by Dr. Saikat Kumar Basu, Executive Research Director, PFS, Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada & URI gave a presentation on the role of pollinators such as bees, butterflies, birds, and other insects in sustaining ecosystems. Resource persons discussed the threats faced by pollinators due to habitat loss, pollution, and climate change, and emphasized the importance of creating pollinator-friendly spaces.
As a key activity of the programme, a Pollinator Garden was installed within the college campus. Flowering and nectar-rich plants suitable for attracting pollinators were planted with active participation from students, faculty members, and representatives of Right Track and URI. The garden was envisioned as a living educational resource for promoting biodiversity and environmental learning. The announcement has been made to present momentous & gifts to the students as care giver on the protection & alive of the plants, to be monitored after three months interval.
