Join us for a morning walk as we explore the natural world of Golf Green Central Park.

To participate in this walk, join our temporary WhatsApp group for updates. Link in our story.

Let us scan the skies for birds, look under the rocks for bugs, spiders, search for butterflies and moths, glue our eyes on tree stumps for mushrooms, watch the path we tread for snails, slugs, and stare at the strong sturdy trees, shrubs and vines.

Beginners, newbies, amateurs, pros, we would love to have everyone walk with us and explore the natural world of Subhash Sarobar! 🪲🦉🌳🕷️🐞🦋

The walk is special for it includes our next Nature Adda with Ish*ta Bhatia.

Thank you Priyanjana Pramanik for such wonderful insights into the lives of mangroves! We were thrilled to learn about the evolution of these plants, their adaptations and the animals that thrive in this habitat. Looking forward to the next one!

Sharks and Rays turned out to be a great session with निधि and aaheli at Frasergunj, where we learned about many rare and endangered marine species and the threats they face as well as the potential solutions. Thank you to the duo for an excellent presentation and discussion. We look forward to more Fishplorations!

Here is what our artist collaborator Ayan Banerjee Ayan Banerjee had to say about his experience of breathing life into Asmita Pal’s birds_all_around_us_ story.

“This is a common bird around my home and I too have witnessed the lovely interaction between Blue-throated Barbet couples, quite a few times. It is equally enjoyable to see the Coppersmith, Blue-throated and Lineated Barbets and the Asian Koel compete over a ripe guava or papaya. I loved the way Asmita Pal shared her learning curve while bird watching.”

Here is what our artist collaborator Shreya Nandy ( Shreya Nandy) had to say about her experience of breathing life into Krishnandu Sarkar’s (krish) story.

“Krishnandu's Great Indian Bustard story was too lovely not to draw. The story was so heart-touching. I wanted to capture the childhood wonder that sparked it all, with a few nods to conservation tucked into the details. I hope he enjoys this art as much as I enjoyed making it. Also... I've hidden the bustard's favourite snacks across the artwork (thanks to Roundglass Sustain's film for the homework). Happy Easter egg hunting!”

Here is what our artist collaborator Priyanjana Pramanik Priyanjana Pramanik had to say about the experience of breathing life into Kausani Nag’s (Kausani Nag) story.

“I often start with a photograph, often from Birds of the World; on a laptop or tablet. I look for one that to me fits my mental image of the bird - in this case, the swift movements of a flock of minivets in the canopy as they flush out insects. I generally sketch the bird out with pencil, or a black pen if I'm feeling confident, before adding colours with brush pens and final detailing with black and white gel pen. The last part of the bird is the eyes - when I add that little dot of white, that feels like the moment it comes to life.”
