🥈 SILVER AT THE YOUTH NATIONALS! 🇮🇳🔥

What a performance by our ACC athlete Sanayoj Mondal! 💪🏽

At just 17 years old, Sanayoj produced a sensational Personal Best of 7.23m to win the Silver Medal in the Long Jump at the Youth National Championships 2026, Ludhiana! 🏆

What a series! Six jumps. Five jumps over 7 metres. And a new PB of 7.23m!

A special moment for our team ❤️

1st National Indoor Championships 2026 at Bhubaneswar 24–25 March, 2026

A memorable outing at the first-ever National Indoor Championships. New environment, new challenges—and proud to see the athletes rise to the occasion.

Results:
🥈 Rajdip Pal (U20) – 800m – Silver Medal
🥉 Sayan Karmakar (Men) – 800m – Bronze Medal

Strong performances:
• Bidisha Kundu – 60m Hurdles: 5th (8.65 PB) | Long Jump: 7th (5.75m PB)
• Nupur Pandey – Long Jump: 5th (5.85m) | Triple Jump: 5th (12.28m)

First time competing indoors, first time at the senior level for most—and they delivered with medals and personal bests. A great learning experience and a solid step forward.

Like every year, 7th February 2026 marked another successful ACC Admissions Trial, and once again the response was inspiring.

With 128 young athletes turning up, the growing belief in ACC’s system, coaching, and values was clearly visible. This participation is not just about numbers—it reflects the trust of parents, the dreams of children, and ACC’s commitment to nurturing grassroots athletics.

ACC continues to stand as a platform where talent is identified, discipline is built, and futures are shaped. The journey continues. 💪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

অন্য বছরের মতোই ৭ই ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬-এ অনুষ্ঠিত হলো ACC অ্যাডমিশন ট্রায়াল, আর এবারও অংশগ্রহণের সংখ্যা ছিল অনুপ্রেরণাদায়ক।

মোট ১২৮ জন খুদে অ্যাথলিট ট্রায়ালে অংশ নিয়েছে—যা স্পষ্ট করে ACC-র কোচিং সিস্টেম, মূল্যবোধ এবং দীর্ঘদিনের বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতা। এই সংখ্যা শুধু পরিসংখ্যান নয়; এটা অভিভাবকদের আস্থা, শিশুদের স্বপ্ন এবং গ্রাসরুট লেভেলে অ্যাথলেটিক্স গড়ে তোলার প্রতি ACC-র অঙ্গীকারের প্রতিফলন।

🏃‍♂️ অ্যাথলেটিক্সে ন্যায্য স্বীকৃতি নিয়ে এক ভাবনা 🏅

রাজ্য অ্যাথলেটিক্স চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপের পর বড় বড় ক্লাবগুলো প্রায়ই তাদের অ্যাথলিটদের পুরস্কার বা সম্মাননা দেয় — স্বর্ণ, রৌপ্য বা ব্রোঞ্জ জেতার পর।
অ্যাথলিটদের এই স্বীকৃতি পাওয়া সত্যিই আনন্দের ব্যাপার।

কিন্তু একটা প্রশ্ন বারবার মনে আসে — যে কোচ এই সাফল্যের ভিত তৈরি করেন, তার প্রাপ্যটা কোথায়?

যে ক্লাবগুলো খেলোয়াড়দের পুরস্কৃত করে, তারাই প্রায়ই সেই কোচদের এক টাকাও দেয় না, যারা দিনরাত পরিশ্রম করে, গড়ে তোলে সেই পারফরম্যান্স।
বিরোধটা এখানেই — ফুটবল, ক্রিকেট ইত্যাদি খেলায় কোচদের ভালো অঙ্কের টাকা দেওয়া হয় ম্যাচের আগেই।
কিন্তু অ্যাথলেটিক্সে, যেখানে একেকটি পারফরম্যান্সের পেছনে মাসের পর মাস, কখনও বছরের পর বছর কোচের পরিকল্পনা ও নিবেদন থাকে, সেখানে কোচের পরিশ্রম প্রায় অদৃশ্য হয়ে যায়।

এখনই সময়, আমরা এই ব্যবস্থাটা নতুন করে ভাবি।

একটি মেডেল অ্যাথলিটের বুকে ঝলমল করে, কিন্তু সেই ঝলমলের পেছনে থাকে অসংখ্য নীরব ঘন্টা — এক কোচের, যিনি বিশ্বাস রেখেছেন, দিকনির্দেশ দিয়েছেন, এবং প্রতিটি উত্থান-পতনে পাশে থেকেছেন।

একটি মেডেল শুধু অ্যাথলিটের নয় — এটি সমানভাবে সেই কোচের, যিনি পর্দার আড়ালে থেকে প্রতিদিন সেই সাফল্যকে গড়ে তুলেছেন।

স্বীকৃতি ভাগাভাগি হওয়া উচিত, আলাদা নয়।

এটা টাকার ব্যাপার নয়,
এটা সম্মানের ব্যাপার।
এটা সেই মানুষগুলোর স্বীকৃতির ব্যাপার, যারা পদক ওঠার অনেক আগেই চ্যাম্পিয়ন তৈরি করে।

যদি আমরা সত্যিই চাই অ্যাথলেটিক্স বেড়ে উঠুক — বেঙ্গলে — তাহলে আমাদের শুরু করতে হবে সেই মেরুদণ্ডকে সম্মান জানিয়ে, যিনি প্রতিটি অ্যাথলিটের পেছনে দাঁড়িয়ে আছেন — কোচ।

🏃‍♂️ A Thought About Fair Recognition in Athletics 🏅

After State Athletics Championships, players often receive payments or rewards from big clubs after securing podium finishes — Gold, Silver, or Bronze — at the West Bengal State Athletics Championships. It’s great to see athletes getting recognition for their performance.

But there’s one question that often goes unasked: what about the coaches who made it possible?

The same clubs that reward athletes sometimes don’t pay a single penny to the coaches who trained, guided, and built those performances from the ground up.
The irony is — when it comes to football, cricket etc. coaches are paid handsomely even before the players step on the field. But in athletics, the coach’s effort, strategy, and months (or years) of preparation often go unnoticed.

It’s time we rethink the system.

A medal shines on the athlete’s chest, but behind that shine are countless silent hours — from a coach who believed, guided, and pushed through every high and low.

A medal doesn’t just belong to the athlete — it belongs equally to the coach who stood behind the scenes, day after day, shaping that success.

Recognition should be shared, not separated.

It’s not about money.
It’s about respect.
It’s about recognizing the people who build champions long before the medal ceremony.

If we truly want to grow athletics, we need to start respecting the backbone of every athlete — the coach.

This year our 50 athletes participating at West Bengal State Athletics Championships 2025, which will take place on 14-15 June, 2025 for U-14, U-16, U-18 age groups and from 20-22 June, 2025 for Men/Women, U-23 & U-20 age groups will held at Yuba Bharati Kriangan Stadium and SAI.

This is the highest number of athletes taking part in State Athletic Meet from our camp.

All the best to all the athletes and our coaches Dr. Kuntal Roy and Rudra Pratim Roy.

Our athletes will represent Mohun Bagan AC, East Bengal, A***ns, North 24 Parganas, Pioneer, City Club and Nadia at the State Meet, as we can’t directly participate at the State Meet. Thank you to this Clubs and District.
