Save Cows India Charitable Trust Save Cows India Charitable Trust is dedicated to creating awareness towards preserving Indian Breeds cattle. Together, we can make a difference!

We also promote vegetarian food and Non-Leather Products for environment protection. Save Cows India Charitable Trust is a registered NGO (Reg. No. 190200078 under Section 60 Rule 69) and NGO Darpan ID - WB/2025/0868221. We are dedicated to the protection and preservation of Indian breeds of cows, bulls, and cattle. Our mission is to create an authentic database of Indian breeds, gaushalas, cattle preservation legal rules, and animal husbandry government departments to raise awareness and promote the welfare of these animals. Our Initiatives:
Database Creation: Compiling comprehensive information on Indian breeds of cows and gaushalas. Legal Advocacy: Advocating for a complete ban on cow slaughter during Bakrid, with a notable victory in the Calcutta High Court. Sustainable Gaushalas: Sharing knowledge on building self-sustainable gaushalas like Surabhi Sadan Gowshala. Join us in our mission to protect and preserve the rich heritage of Indian cattle.

A significant moment for animal welfare in West Bengal.

After multiple letters, petitions, social posts and court cases, we are happy to finally see The Times of India news on stricter action and discussions on cow slaughter prohibition receiving front-page attention in the media. For many citizens, gau raksha groups, and welfare organizations, this has been a long-standing concern for over two decades.

This shift also reflects growing public awareness and sensitivity towards cow protection and humane treatment of animals.

We extend our gratitude to Hon'ble CM Shri Suvendu Adhikari for this ban.

This reminds us of a simple truth:
Where there is Government intent, solutions become possible.
