Special Olympics Bharat – West Bengal marked the International Day for Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December 2025 at the Boy Scouts of Bengal Tent. The day was filled with fun activities, shared laughter, family participation, and heartfelt moments that reminded us why community matters!

We were honoured by the presence of our dignitaries:
Sri Asoke Chaki (Area Director), Sri Tamal Chatterjee (Sports Director), Smt Arpita Sen (Expert in Intellectual Disabilities), Sri Kamal Ghosh, Sri Subir Ghosh, Sri Partha Biswas, Smt Lalita Nag Deb (State Coaches), and Sri Saikat Dey (Program Manager).

Dr. Mallika Nadda, President of Special Olympics Bharat, shares her vision for Each One Reach One - a nationwide campaign to identify and include persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This campaign is about recognising potential, building confidence and creating a truly inclusive India where every individual gets the chance to shine.

Today Special Olympics Bharat West Bengal conducted an Inclusive Yoga Program to celebrate International Yoga Day. A total no.of 110 participants were there including athletes, parents & siblings.
The yoga sessions were conducted with much fun fare and the athletes enjoyed every moment of it.
